Must have for pancake batter
We have had one of these for several years for our RV and decided we also need one for our house because they are so handy. How nice to have a batch of pancake or waffle batter in the fridge to drop into a pan for a quick breakfast. The bottom comes off and turned over to fit into the base so that it can be turned upside down to easily add the ingredients easily. Screw the base back on turn over and shake the batter until smooth. The batter mixes well with the enclosed metal beater ball, then unscrew the top lid and pour into your pan. Easy peasy! Stick it back in the fridge and have batter for the next day.

Well made solution to batter problems
I bought this over two years and just used it for the first time yesterday - long story. I love it! I was looking for an easier way to pour my batter on the griddle without all the mess. A condiment squeeze bottle almost worked after I cut off the tip; however it was difficult to get my thick batter into the bottle. This solves that by being able to pour it into the bottom. My batter is quite thick as it's a custom recipe using wheat-free flour alternatives and as another reviewer stated the mixing ball may not be enough to make your batter in the bottle, but it was heavy duty enough to keep the batter mixed throughout the process. Easy to clean up, and very well made.

Neat, Versatile, and a Game Changer for Breakfast
I recently tried the Whiskware Pancake Batter Bottle, and I must say it exceeded my expectations overall. One of the standout features is how effectively it helps to prevent messy spills when making pancakes. It's a game-changer in that regard, allowing for precise pouring and portion control. Another positive aspect is its capacity; it holds a generous amount of batter, which is fantastic when making a stack of pancakes for a hungry family. I also appreciate its versatility; it's not just for pancake batter but also works well for crepe batter, which is a nice bonus. However, there's a slight caveat to keep in mind. I wouldn't recommend mixing the batter directly in the bottle, as advised by the manufacturer. In my experience, it tends to leave lumps and doesn't work as smoothly as indicated. It's better to prepare the batter separately and then transfer it to the bottle for mess-free pouring. In summary, the Whiskware Pancake Batter Bottle is a valuable addition to the kitchen, making pancake and crepe preparation much neater and more convenient. Just be sure to mix your batter separately for the best results. It's a versatile tool that's also easy to store, and I highly recommend it for breakfast enthusiasts!

Makes the pancake-making process kinda fun.
I've tried other pancake batter dispensers in the past. Some much fancier than this. All have been donated. Why? I don't want more trouble with a gadget than I'd have with a bowl and a spoon. I don't want a mess. I don't want waste. I don't want lumpy, poorly mixed batter. I want a nice, smooth process with all of my cooking. I measure the dry ingredients separately in a large quantity, storing them in an airtight container. I mix the wet ingredients and then combine the wet with the dry. In the case of this mixer, I flip it upside down, it sits on the "bottom lid" that's been removed, as it's designed to do. I dump in the wet ingredients, measure in the dry ingredients, screw on the bottom and shake it up. I dispense the batter until it's gone. The batter doesn't really stick to the sides, so there's little waste. While I am making pancakes I set the dispenser on its top, and it would be nice if the top was a little wider for that purpose, but it doesn't fall. This device gets the job done correctly and easily, with very little mess. In fact, virtually no mess. Now, the description mentions 30-second cleanup. I spent more time than thirty seconds and I chuckled to myself thinking, "I don't want to eat breakfast at someone's house if they only spend thirty seconds cleaning this thing." LOL. But it was very easy. This is a relatively tall product and might not fit in your dishwasher. I washed mine by hand without problem. (I, personally, would not want a smaller dispenser.) Making pancakes was easier and more enjoyable with this mixer/dispenser than without it. It's a better product than I thought it'd be and it appears that some time was spent on the design. In a way, I would say, "Where have you been all my life?"

This is one of THE best things I've ever purchased from Amazon!
Okay, this might seem as though I’m going over the top in my enthusiasm for the Whiskware Pancake Batter Mixer, but I really DO think that this is one of THE best things I’ve purchased from Amazon…EVER! This gadget works amazingly well. It is easy to use and the results are good enough to eat! (Excuse my pun, but I couldn’t resist!) The directions are simple. This is what I did yesterday morning: 1)I put in the wire ball that comes with the mixer into the container. 2) I Put in my wet ingredients. (In my case, this was one beaten egg and ¾ cup of whole milk. 3) I Put in my dry ingredients. In this case, I used Carbons Golden Malted Pancake and Waffle Mix which I will DEFINITELY write a review about! It is so easy to make your own pancake/waffle mix, but Carbon’s is in a league of its own. For this recipe, I used one cup of pancake mix. Hint: measure out your dry ingredients, whether a mix of your own from a recipe into a small bowl and then use a spoon to put your dry ingredients into top of the mixer. 4) I screwed the top of the mixer on tightly and then shook the daylights out of the mixer! Hint: Try rotating the mixer after you’ve shaken it in one position. This will help ensure that no dry ingredients stick to the sides. 5) My recipe called for adding a few tablespoons of melted butter. After doing that I shook the container again to make sure the butter had blended in. Then it was time to make some pancakes! 6) I heated up my nonstick pan and added some butter. 7) I unscrewed the top of the container and let some pancake batter flow out into my pan. Because my batter was thin, I didn’t have to squeeze. If your batter was thick, you might have to, but I don’t imagine it would be a problem. 8) When the edges of my pancake were firmed up, I flipped it and saw that it was a beautiful golden brown! In no time at all, pancake #1 was on my plate, waiting to get buttered, followed by pancakes #2-#5. These were small pancakes, just the way I like ‘em, in a nice little stack. Time for some locally produced maple syrup, and voila, breakfast is served! Hint: One thing I learned in culinary school was to ALWAYS use a warm plate when serving warm food because it REALLY sucks to have what you’ve taken a lot of time and effort to prepare to arrive to your customer, cold!!! 9) After a quick photograph of what I had prepared to share with all of you Amazon shoppers, it was TIME TO EAT! All I can say about how well my Whiskware Pancake Batter Mixer worked is YUM! 10) I still had some pancake batter left, so I screwed the top on and put the container in the refrigerator. This morning I took the container out of the refrigerator and saw that my batter had solidified, undoubtedly because it contained butter. I couldn’t warm it in the microwave, because of the wire ball, so I filled a large bowl with warm water, and put my container in until the batter was back to normal. Then it was time to repeat what I had done yesterday and enjoy another “short stack” of delicious pancakes! One feature that I like about this product is its ability to store batter for when you need it. Another feature is that you can easily make whatever SIZE pancake you like. Personally, I enjoy small ones. I haven’t had a chance to try this out yet with my waffle maker but will probably do so soon. I imagine it will be easier to control the amount of batter, so as NOT to overfill the waffle maker. Don’t you hate when that happens, and you have a mess to clean up? Speaking of cleaning up, cleaning the Whiskware was easy as pie. Simply rinse out any excess batter, put in some dish soap along with some warm water, and shake. The wire ball helps mix up the soap. Rinse everything until clean and you’re all set until next time. If you enjoy pancakes and waffles, I HIGHLY recommend the Whiskware Pancake Batter Mixer. I don’t think you will be disappointed! I’m not being paid to write this glorious review, but if the manufacturers feel like sending me some special pancake mix, I wouldn’t complain. (hint-hint!)

Doesn’t work with powders with chocolate chips
I like the whole idea and it would work best on plain powders but not when you are making pancake with chocolate chips. The whisk filters the chips. Although it is a solution to just drops the chocolate chips on the batter on the pancake, it won’t work for the martha white muffin mix we like to make at home. Also if you put egg in it, you have to work your muscles to shake it very well to break the yolk, otherwise you’d make the extra work to beat egg separately in a bowl before you mix it in the bottle. So overall this product is limited and doesn’t exactly meets what i had in mind.

Great batter portion dispenser
This is a great pancake dispenser. I didn't really care for the mixing the batter directly into the dispenser, as the and batter and water don't really mix completely, there is always some batter that is stuck to the top of the dispenser that won't mix, but that is not a big issue for me. I prefer to mix my batter separately anyways and the top that you use to pour the batter in is wide, so it is very easy to add your mixture into the bottle. The reason I wanted this particular dispenser was because I wanted a more reliable pouring feature when I go to pour my pancake batter portions in to my skillet, and this one is great. Since it is a squeeze bottle there is no "trigger" that breaks over time, which is the problem I have had with other dispensers. This is a very easy squeeze bottle and once you stop squeezing out your needed batter in to a skillet or fry pan for the size pancake you want, it doesn't continue to drip on to the skillet or down the side of the bottle. It is an excellent batter portion dispenser.

Super helpful
I use this every time I make batter for waffles and pancakes nowadays and it's great to both cut down on dishes and also have the kitchen mess-free when pouring batter. The only thing to be aware of is that it's good to layer dry and wet ingredients, starting and ending with wet, so the dry ingredients won't get stuck in crevices around the bottle.

So easy to use!
Pancake making is now so easy. You can control how much you pour and you can save the batter for a few days...if it lasts! I also like making it the night before so I can just start cooking in the morning so it is so useful having the batter in this.

Works great!
Great! No leaks! Fantastic for poffertjes and waffles and smaller pancakes. Not so suitable for larger pancakes. Mixes very well, no clumps. Cleans up easily.
