Go ahead, it's worth a try!
If you are wondering why this pencil is less expensive than the other 0.3 mm pencils, thinking it's probably not any good... You're wrong! Great little pencil helped me get an A in my drafting class.

A great pencil
I had an Alvin for years, but it suddenly just stopped working. I found this one and was stoked. It's orange, so it's easy to find on my messy desk, is comfortable to hold, and works great. Overall, this is a great pencil for artists, writers, and I think even folks like contractors would find it useful.

Best affordable 0.3mm pencil I've found
I've used probably spent ~$100 on the fancier ALVIN Draft-Tec Retractable 0.3 over the years and they are the gold standard to me. But I think the Draft-Line XA03 is just a better value. It's my new fav that is cheap enough I can misplace one for a while and not be upset about it. Plus if I'm honest I don't think the more expensive/complicated retractable mechanism really made it more durable in travel anyway. Use the extra money to buy a spare (these are $4.95 at time of writing)

Best Quality Mechanical Pencil I’ve owned.
Best Mechanical pencil that I’ve tried. I use for my watercolor sketches. Very light. Perfect for the job.

Perfectly a pencil!
Works just like a pentel, but not as expensive!

Feels almost like the originals I had and still work. My originals were bought in 1988 and the pencil feels like it will last just as long as the original. Still nicely balanced.

My new favorite pencil
I'm particular about writing instruments and own a few 0.3mm pencils. Saw this on sale, so I purchased one and it instantly became my favorite pencil. Easy to hold, writes well and the leads do not snap easily. Excellent overall so far.
