As expected
This wallpaper looks amazing! I was worried when I ordered it because it came in two shipments that the lot numbers wouldn't be the same. But they were! The wallpaper went on well. No issues.

Highly recommended over the Magnolia wallpaper
Our daughter wanted shiplap on a wall in her bedroom, and the good parents we are, we set out to explore a solution. In our dining room, we did a painted MDF-core plywood shiplap that turned out pretty good. But for the bedroom outside wall, it was really a toss up of putting lots of holes in the wall, or putting up wallpaper. We thought we would never touch wallpaper again after removing all of it from our house. If you look at the Magnolia wallpaper on Amazon, you apply the rolls vertically to get a horizontal wood pattern. In this York wallpaper, you apply the rolls horizontally to get a horizontal wood pattern. So although the York pattern repeats every couple of feel, you don't end up with mismatched wood grain. In some of the Magnolia review pictures, you can see short bits of "wood", where the edges mate up, but the wood pattern just abruptly stops.Being a handy person, but not having applied wallpaper before, it wasn't too bad. The biggest difficulty was hanging an 11 foot long piece horizontally, rather than vertically. It took two of us to hold it.Perhaps some extra instructions, wet it pretty thoroughly. We used a water spray bottle and followed directions closely. But it didn't stick. After spraying more water, and waiting a little longer, it went fine. After more liberal sprays of water, and waiting longer, each piece went up great. Like regular wallpaper, it tears and creases fairly easily. We used a plastic scraper that is cheaper at Menards ($1.50ish) compared to $5ish on Amazon to get the bubbles out. This is important, do it well! Make sure your utility knife is sharp too. The reason is that the paper gets a little gummy and easily tear-able when it's wet. We did it on a nice and clean drop cloth to somewhat protect the carpet, but more so to keep the wet wallpaper really clean. We didn't want hair or fuzzies getting on it.One thing we splurged on was buying Zinsser Shieldz Universal Wallcovering Primer Sealer. We (or the next homeowners) won't know for a while whether it was worth it, but other research seemed to point to this being a very helpful and good step for drywall mounting, for much better application and removal later on.Sorry for the poor quality photos. But hopefully they get the point across.Would we recommend this? You bet!

A mess
I bought this because I loved the design and most of the reviews were good. I followed the instructions very carefully and watched videos. This paper would NOT stick, especially the edges. The paste on the edges kept drying out and the edges of the paper would come out. There were also a lot of creases and air bubbles that we were unable to fix with our smoothing tool. It did not look nice and when I took it off (minutes later), the paint from the wall ripped off. I ended up buying “peel and stick” from a local store, which was 100 times easier and it looks amazing. I’m upset that I had to waste my money on this wallpaper. I recommend buying peel and stick or self-adhesive instead.

Very happy, and LOVE the final look of this wall paper!!
Wanted the look of shiplap/barnwood without the expense - this wall paper was the answer. I've never wallpapered before, and it went up without any issue at all. I hung it horizontally, which did require my husbands help holding it up, but other than that - no issues, and it looks AMAZING on my daughter's bedroom wall. She is thrilled with it, and even up close/in person it looks very realistic! I may use this in other rooms in my home, I love it that much! The second picture makes it look dark (was taken at night) but in real life it's a very light greyish color - very pretty!

Easy to apply, but pattern is a bit repetitive.
It is great wallpaper, good quality and really easy to install! I applied it horizontally in my office on one wall, and it did not take very long to do. I purchased a primer from the hardware store and applied that to the wall beforehand, and also had to remove the texture and smooth out the wall prior to applying. It comes pre-pasted, so all you have to do is get it wet and smooth it on. The instructions say to spray it but I purchased a wallpaper wetting tray because spraying it did not get it wet enough, and the tray worked perfectly! I did have to watch a few you tube videos on how to apply it with the tray instead of spraying it though. My one complaint about this wallpaper is that the pattern is repetitive (I am sure all wallpaper is) and I wish the wood boards had an end and were staggered. Instead they are just one long board pattern that never ends. Other than that, it is fantastic and I love it!
