A: It’s about 4” at base and 6” at the largest

**Q: My lamp won't shut off with the dimmer switch? I have to unplug it to get it to shut off. I bought the suggested bulbs . Why would this happen**
A: Defective dimmer switch. The dimmer switch cuts off all power to the bulb. You should be able to hear it click on and then you can dim or brighten the bulb.
