Logitech Webcam C200

At this price, this camera is awesome. I bought it when it was slightly more expensive as a gift to family overseas. We had to try it out before sending it. It works perfectly and our friends on the other side of the monitor said it gave better picture than our camera which is the logitech pro 9000 (supposedly best). But our other camera is already 3-4 years old and this one is brand new so maybe it performed better because of that reason. I can see that this one blurs you easily when you move too fast, so it is not of the same quality as ours, but for the price it is a great buy. Sound was clear too.By the way, I didn't use the disk it came with, it installed itself within a minute and was ready to use. So it definitely is plug and play if you have a windows 7 computer.

I like this product, Compared to what Mac webcams cost, this does a fantastic job for the price. Its very easy to install, i didn't even use the cd it comes with as the comp recognized it on its own. I seem to have a problem where the picture freezes while im chatting but its a quick fix, at the push of a button it restarts and is not a big issue. Other than that its perfect and I use it with Skype almost everyday.

Like all Logitech products, the C200 webcam is attractive and built to last. It's innovative design makes it a handy to hook onto flat screen monitors and it works well. When it arrived, my granddaughter asked me when I was going to install it for her. I told her that now she is 10 years old, I felt that she should be able to unpack it and read the directions and install it herself. She took the box and ran off to her bedroom computer. I went back ten minutes later to see how she was doing and she already had it installed and was on a video chat room with other kids her age. The C200 is inexpensive and is easy to install. However, those who have experienced the higher end Logitech webcams will be disappointed with the lack of automatic focus and the resulting marginal picture. Its hard to find the sweet spot to get an image that appears to be in focus.

DO NOT BUY THIS! I have had some Logitech cams before but this is the worst yet! Blurry/Fuzzy picture, can't focus it, and microphone didn't work either. Going to return it and bought me a better one. I really only wanted to give it a half of a star but wouldn't let me.

If you or someone is receiving this product as a gift or for general use, then this product does the trick. Easy to install, VID software is step by step to install and the quality and microphone work just fine if you are using it to chat with family. Taking a picture is good quality. If this is your first time experimenting with video conferencing then use this product first. In expensive to get and as you use it more you realize just what more in quality you want to purchase next. It is very durable and performs just great when using Skype too.

I was totally unimpressed with the refresh rate - it was no better than the old one I already had. Definitely would recommend a newer model - I was given a Logitech C270 that works much better. There's still a slight refresh lag, but something I can live with.
