Much cheaper than a visit to the hairdresser!
Very easy to use. I did a patch test a few days before on inner arm to check my daughter did not have a reaction.Instructions are enclosed in the box.Very easy to apply just squeeze the tube into the bottle shake really well to mix and start to squeeze it on the hair, beginning at the front on the top of the head. I used a comb to comb it through, a colouring brush to paint it on the longer sections and then used my hands (with the protective gloves on supplied in the box) to rub it through fully. My daughter has very long hair so it took the full box, and we had to shampoo it three times as although when rinsing the water ran clear - eventually! - the colour kept showing up in the shower tray. After the third wash we applied the colour set conditioner - also in the box - and her hair looked and felt silky smooth.Much cheaper than the £100 I paid to have it done at the hairdresser last time, and with no risk of covid!

Who needs a hairdresser?
With the current lockdown situation in the UK, my grey hairs were starting to come through with a vengeance... I'd been spraying that root colour on them, but it was getting to the point where I needed to take drastic action! I have long hair and I usually get my colour done at the hairdressers. I hadn't bought a packet dye mix since my teenage years, so it was with some trepidation that I retreated to the bathroom and opened the packet. I covered myself with a towel, put on the enclosed gloves and set to work. Thankfully the instructions were reasonably clear. Mix one part with the other and shake well. It then said to part the hair along the scalp and apply the mixture to the roots. This all looked nice and neat in the pictures, but I found it practically impossible to do this myself, so in the end I just squirted it all over my scalp. massaged it in and spread it around with my fingers. My grey hairs are a bit colour resistant and usually need a longer development time, so I kept the dye on for the longer recommended time (about 10 minutes extra). I then went back to the instructions, which said to put the remaining dye on the rest of the hair. Oops! I'd put it all on my scalp! But this was OK - I just pulled it down through the rest of my hair with my hands. I kept it on for the recommended time and then stood in the shower to rinse it all off. I washed my hair with my usual shampoo and applied the conditioner that comes with the dye. You leave it on for a couple of minutes and then wash it out. For me, my hair felt like it needed a bit more conditioning, so I applied my usual conditioner too (my hair is quite dry). As for the result - well, I have to say, I was SO IMPRESSED with this hair dye. All of my (difficult) greys were coloured well. My hair felt smoother than usual and the colour was very good. A little on the dark side (more black than dark brown - possibly because of the amount I'd put on to start with!), but it looked good. I would even go so far as to say that it looked better then when I come back from the hairdresser!! And it smelled really nice too. I couldn't believe it!! It makes me wonder why I usually pay about 10x as much to get it done!! Yes, the process was a bit fiddly and a bit messy but honestly I was so pleased I'd decided to do this. I highly, highly recommend it. And I've already bought another pack for next time!

blue black my new go to colour
I have been using a different black dye but felt underwhelmed by it, I have used this brands natural black in the past & did like it but I wanted something a little more punchy so decided to try this blue black and SO glad I did! The colour is super dark epic black, I personally do not see any blue but its not sunny now but I don't really care the rich depth is what I wanted it really pops with my new pinky streak, I put on clean towel dried hair, waited 25mins then used a shampoo then the conditioner it comes with and styled as usual and I have very soft silky frizz free hair it feels SO soft I keep touching it :) very happy with the colour and is my new go to for the next few years. Rinsing was easy and didn't take forever, washed off my scalp on the first wash which is a huge bonus for black dye.
