Great cameras, just wish they were a bit faster on detection
Over the last few years, I've purchased 4 of these cameras, all Reolink. I do really like the clarity of the images, and these cameras' durability. I have an older one (2MP), and have since gotten more 3 of these upgraded versions. They have improved, however, as with most security cameras, they don't pick up the recordings as fast as they should. After dark (or even in the daytime), when motion is detected, the camera's security light comes on (at night only) instantly, but the recording doesn't start until a second or 2 afterwards (day and night). By that time, the object has moved out of frame. This is an issue with many security cameras, but, from some of the others I've tried, and for the price, this is the best I've found. The solar panels make these completely standalone and electrical wire-free, as well as worry free too. I like the immersive option on the APP, that lets me see all 4 camera images on a single frame on my phone. Setup is fairly easy, but even easier if you're adding to an existing setup. Initially, on my first setup, I had to lower a security option on my router setting to get these to work outside of my home Wi-Fi (I noted the setting in a previous review for the older 2MP model, but can't remember which option it was, I will try to find it, and add it later to this review). Once that option setting was set to a lower level, I was able to see the camera's views wherever I was when away from home. If the router setting was set to high, I could only see the camera views from my home Wi-Fi, which is not ideal when away from home. Overall, I think these are very good cameras for the price. They come with multiple ways to mount them too. If they correct the record on detection issue to make it faster to begin recording, I'd give them a 6 star review.

Impressive Camera for the Price - A Dedicated MacOS Client Really Makes It Shine!
So far we have been really pleased with the overall performance and features of this camera for the price. Having the added benefit of "Pet Detection" included in the software support for this model makes a huge difference when compared to other models and brands that do not provide this additional specific tier of detection capability. But the place these Riolink products really shine is in the Riolink control software. Available for free on every major mobile platform both iOS and Android in addition to dedicated "Desktop" clients not just for Windows PCs, but for MacOS as well, is a refreshing change from the usual generic garbage we tend to see out there these days when it comes to smart phone based apps and the extremely rare desktop version! While I can run the iPad iOS app for Riolink cameras on my MacBook Pro M1, the dedicated Mac Client takes the camera management, video downloading and real time viewing of our entire camera network to a whole other level! In addition to this Argus 3 Pro Solar, we also own a second Argus 3 Pro, an Argus PT, two Wired/AC Powered TrackMix Multi-Lens cameras along with the newest TrackMix Solar powered version which is arriving next week. The primary reason we have gone "All In" with a Riolink camera network is the quality of this FREE dedicated MacOS control software client!Being able to view our various camera feeds live or watch their videos on the MacBook Pro M1's 6k XDR display puts the monitoring and reviewing process on an entirely different planet in terms of performance and visual quality compared to what you normally would experience using an iPhone, iPad, Android device of a Windows PC. The fact that Riolink recognizes the advantages of the Macintosh platform when working with video and supports the platform as well as they are doing here speaks volumes, and it certainly earned them the proceeds of our entire security camera budget and then some!Regardless of what device/platform you plan to run your security camera network from, the Riolink hardware is well made and easy to work with. If you are a Mac user/owner, then the decision to go for a Riolink network is a total no brainer!

Works good
I inherited 2 of these with a house we bought and added 2 more lately.ProsSolar panel charges to 100% always even in cloudy short days of winter.Stays charged for days when charged without the solar panel. One only gets evening sun and stays charged. Not continuous traffic though. The images are good even at night with infrared lighting enabled.App and software is intuitive with lots of options to configure it for your needs. The spotlight feature is great when enabled. It doubles as a wireless motion light. It stays connected to my router 75 feet away on the othe side of my garage. (It's strapped to a tree watching a woodchuck hole near the garden)The brackets and mounting hardware is sturdy with full range of motion.ConsMotion sensitivity reduces in warm weather and is increased in cold weather. That's understandable considering is sensing heat signatures. It is easily adjustable the the app or software though. Some software tapes continuously saving a few seconds before motion is detected (probably not capable to save battery life)The pros outweigh any cons and I would recommend this to others.Incidentally I worked in the security industry for years as a technician, installer, and consultant.
