Can you put this product on the bottom of the oven. Under the heating element?

if it is electric oven you may put it up to 500 f*, if it is a gas oven it will be melted if it will get in touch with the fire,

The product information states you can put the liner in the bottom of the oven but the instructions says not to. I'm confused.

I used something similar to this on the bottom of my electric oven, not knowing that the element was under the bottom plate. It left a thick white residue that I’ve tried everything to get it off. The off gassing from it melting was bad too. So I just used the other one on the rack underneath the one that had the food on it. Or you could just set it on the rack before you put the baking dish on. It still saves your oven from being a mess (usually when others stick pizzas in with nothing underneath them). So I would still buy this product. I would just hope they amend their description to say “not for the bottom of ovens without a visible heating element.”

I have a gas oven, can I use this on the. bottom part of the oven and won't have to worry about it melting?

Yes, you can. Just make sure you do not block any holes in the bottom. I also have a gas oven. It is easy clean up with either a sponge or take it out and rinse it.
