Both are of good quality. I have them in case and wear one all the time. Good buy

Q: Can you put it on a chain and hang it from the rear view mirror?

Yes. The back has a clip but it also has a hole that could easily accommodate a chain. Though it may be too big to hang from a rear view mirror without compromising the drivers line of sight.
