Proper etch cleaner
Do yourself a favor and buy the metal prep they sell. Heat both to 100f and it works better than any chemical conversion coating that I’ve outsourced. Great paint base.

This is the stuff!
For treating aluminum parts -- makes a thin coating on aluminum to prevent corrosion. It's what's used on airplane parts.

Great base for primer and paint
Used on aluminum outdrive gimbal housing piece after sandblasting. Perfectly coated piece to ready for primer and. Wanted the longest lasting paint job. Just like building a house, it must start with a good foundation! Would buy again and highly recommend!

it works only sort of OK
Well, yeah, you get a priming coat, if you soak it immersed for several hours. Brush-on is totally inadequate. And given that, I seriously doubt that it will provide the overall coverage advertised.

good on raw aluminum
Used this to treat my mast and boom after stripping got two coats on the 12ft boom and one good coat on the 40 foot mast with one bottle. Works like a charm. Update: six months later and it is still doing its job. No apparent oxidation to the raw metal. The supplied picture was just taken.
