Is this cage perfect for budgies?

I would not put a hookbill (aka parakeet, parrot, etc) in this WOOD cage. It is asking for trouble as those birds like to chew and have the beaks made for it. Finches, doves, and canaries would be fine. It looks like it is ½" hardware cloth used to construct it so really small finches like star finches maybe too small to safely put in this cage. Nice looking cage!

Can a set of led lights (m & m cage company led lights 24") be placed under the roof and then the roof put back on?
