Outstanding Marine Knife & Marlinspike
This knife is solid and exactly what I was looking for. Actually, it's a little larger than I thought it would be but that's a good thing. The blade is razor sharp, can be opened or assisted with the thumb. And it opens with ease and locks into place. Ditto with the marlinspike: it opens easily and locks into place when fully opened. I'd rather do without the clip and instead have a lanyard hole but the clip will be coming off soon. Guess I'll be collecting clips in a drawer somewhere. I've already used this knife several times and I can say with confidence that this was money well spent!

The blade is super-beefy and I like the drop point
This knife rocks. I have wanted one since I was a diver in the Navy in the 90s. At the time, it was out of my price range, but I have since accumulated a half dozen high quality knives from the likes of Benchmade, some 2-3x what I paid for this. This is my EDC now. The blade is super-beefy and I like the drop point. Personally, I have no problem opening the knife one-handed. Sure, I'd like a G-10 blade, but have found this German steel blade to be no problem sharpening or holding an edge. The locking mechanism is super stout; open, it has the feel of a fixed blade knife. I think this is great value for ~$50. I also ordered the much cheaper competitive product with the G-10 bald, but have not even taken it out of the package b/c the knife is super boring. I'll probably give that away or keep it in my takle box or something.

Good quality, sturdy knife
While it's slightly large for a pocket knife (although I carry it anyway), this knife is sturdy and well made. Very sharp out of the box, the blade feels good and the marlin spike has already been useful several times. Both lock in place, so it's safe. Will get great use out of this one. Love the chain loop at the end - handy for, you know, actually sailing with it and not dumping it in the water.

Good sturdy tool
Good looking knife, easily operable with one hand, open and close, very smooth open and close of both blade and spike. Would definitely recommend picking one up if you do any line work or just like this style of tool, I got mine as a gift for myself, and myself is happy !

Has performed flawlessly while sailing this summer and would happily purchase again
Has performed flawlessly while sailing this summer and would happily purchase again. One pleasant surprise is the holder, which lies very flat and has two belt loops so grips my belt snugly, so it's inconspicuous under my shirt and easy to get to one handed while cruising.

A real “professional” tool!
This knife was as advertised… maybe better! Great quality materials and craftsmanship!

Flawless fit and finish
There's really not much more to say about this knife. The fit and finish is outstanding, the whole thing is made very precisely and functions quite smoothly. The blade opens easily with the assist knob but not so easily that it's detrimental in any way; it just functions as you would expect and want. The marlin spike is highly polished and not too sharp as I have found others to be. I chose the G10 scales because I like the look of them with the stainless frame and for their durability. I love this knife!

Both functional and handsome
I love this knife. It is the least expensive of all my knives yet it is the one that I choose to carry everyday I love the marlinspike and how heavy duty the whole knife is. It weighs a little bit more than most of my knives but with a pocket clip you don't really notice the extra weight. I use the Marlin Spike more than I use the blade.
