Great for Beginners
Bought this for my son who is doing GCSE Music and it's perfect for him. There are a lot of features and its great value for money. Only downside is it doesn't seem to have a quieter mode so thank god for the headphone socket. Otherwise it's a great keyboard.

Long-time guitarist finds keyboard perfect for beginners
I have contemplated playing keyboards for a long time. I've been playing guitar since HS, but it is an instrument that demands a lot time to master, and I don't have that kind of time anymore. I took a piano class in HS, but haven't played since. So I decided to start again. This instrument is great for a beginner. The keys may be a scooch small for my middle ages fingers, but not too bad. Certainly not enough to discourage me. The sounds produced by the machine, especially the church organ, are great and make me want to play more. There are a couple of nice string synth sounds, very reminiscent of 80s new wave sounds, which appeal to a Gen Xer like myself. I'd recommend this instrument to a beginner. It will make you want to play more, and that can only help you improve!

Son loves it, I like the headphone port.
My son takes piano lessons and while we usually have him practice on the actual piano, this little guy is great for practice. Mainly because he likes to play the same portion of a single song over and over (who wouldn't like to hear the first bar of the Harry Potter theme endlessly?). Being able to yell "hey kid, learn the rest of the song or use headphones" is wonderful. Plus if we go somewhere, he can bring it along and do his piano lessons remotely. The sound reproduction is about what you would expect. Sounds like a piano, but not JUST like a piano. it has a variety of other tones and rhythms, but to be honest, he's not really bothered with them much. He does like the teaching function and has used that quite a lot. Most piano teachers would probably scoff at it, but it's fun for him.I don't see any major issues with this thing. The music stand is flimsy, but it has to hold up a few sheets of paper or maybe a thin book, so it's perfectly reasonable. They keyboard isn't pressure sensitive, that is, hard press or soft press, you get the same sound. For this price, I wouldn't expect this as a feature. This is a nice backup to have that is portable and fun. For the money, I'm not sure you're going to do a lot better. If this were the ONLY thing we had, I woudn't use it for a child who is learning; as a backup or a fun toy, it's rather good.

Great quality and price for a beginner.
We bought this for or 13 year old son for Christmas. It's pretty good quality and price for and entry level keyboard, but the only problem we've found with it is in the volume. The level 2nd from lowest isn't the quietest, and the next level below that is completely no sound at all. It seems there should, or needs to be, at least one volume setting in between.

Great keyboard for beginners.
My 12 year old has never played any piano or keyboard. She wanted one for Christmas so I got this. She absolutely loves it. She uses it everyday. I think it is perfect for beginners especially with how many tutorials are on YouTube. She loves that she can adjust the volume as needed to a comfortable level. The sound quality is perfect and just as expected. The ONLY problem is after only 4 months of use, the speakers blew out. However, I got in touch with the company and they are sending me a replacement, free of charge. They have great customer service.
