Great size for icing after pitching
I bought these ice bags to use for my daughter’s shoulder after pitching, and they’ve worked really well for us. They’re a great size for wrapping around her shoulder and stay cold long enough to be useful after pitching. They’re easy to fill and we’ve had no issues with leaking. We’ve used them multiple times and they’ve held up well so far. These have been a great addition for our softball season, and I’m very happy with them.

Easy to use, long lasting & effective!
These are great ice packs! I fractured my shoulder pretty badly in December. I decided against surgery, so recovery is going to be long and painful. Ice has proven to be one of the best pain control methods for me, so I needed to find an ice pack that was convenient (even when I was by myself), stable and long lasting. Blue gel packs get warm pretty quickly and always seem to pick up stale freezer smells. Those stinky ice packs are a particular problem when they’re sitting on your shoulder and the smell is constant! I tried the “waterproof” fabric bags with the screw on lid, but they are difficult to fill with one hand and I had a hard time twisting the top of the bag to keep the air out while screwing on the lid. If I didn’t get the lid perfectly, it leaked all over me. The ice pack I was given at the hospital worked great, so I was happy to find identical ice packs here on Amazon. I chose these bags because they are reasonably priced, they are exactly the same size as the one that worked from the hospital and they could be delivered quickly. I’m REALLY glad I chose these! They worked so well that I just bought a second pack. They are easy to fill without help. I can hold the bag open with my bad arm (without moving it) and fill it from a bowl of ice I get from the fridge dispenser. The bag top folds over easily and the fastener clicks shut with minimal effort. I use my bad arm to steady it and my good arm to close it. It’s easy to fill and close even with limited mobility. The ice stays cold for quite a while - even when it’s mostly water! The material conducts the cold nicely and I don’t have to put a towel on my skin to keep it from getting too cold. The size is perfect. The pain extends from my shoulder to my elbow, so I’m able to lay it vertically to cover my entire upper arm and shoulder. I use a pillow to prop up my arm while sitting or resting and that’s enough to also hold the ice pack in place. If I’m going to be up and around, I can use the ties on the corners to secure it around my neck and arm. It stays in place quite nicely! I’ve noticed that the ice packs last about 5 days or so with heavy use. After that time, water starts to seep from the seams - usually the bottom seam, but sometimes different areas. I’m ok with that. They aren’t designed to last forever - that’s why they come in a multipack! The Dr said my recovery will take about a year, so I anticipate many more purchases of these well designed, effective ice packs.

Very good ice packs
Easy to use , very nice for knee , shoulder , or ankle injuries. Good to use many times. They hold a lot of ice and keep it cold for a long time . The ties help you secure it in place . A very good value that I will replace when mine wear out because ice therapy really helps reduce my pain. I've been using mine for months now and they are still in great shape.

NOT Directly on your skin!
These are great, except they cannot be placed directly on your skin. You will need to use a washcloth or small towel.

Excellent
I had foot surgery and they gave me the first one in the hospital. It works fantastic !!!! However; don’t leave the ice in the bag overnight or too long because the bag will start to leak. So once I’m finished using it for a little while I stick it in the freezer or pour the ice/water out. It’s the same bag I got in the hospital. Always going to keep a spare now for headaches in the future.m

Reusable
These reusable ice bags have been really convenient to have on hand after surgery. The larger size provides good coverage, and the soft material makes them comfortable to use. I like the clamp closure because it helps keep the ice contained without making a mess. Having a 5-pack is also great since I can rotate them as needed. They’re easy to refill, reusable, and have been a very helpful addition during recovery.

Different but ok
I ordered these ice bags via “buy again” having ordered them in 2022 post rotator cuff surgery. I did not take the time to realize they were no the same, that the previous brand was not available. That said, they are shorter and wider, seemingly to cover a smaller area. Having used them, they are fine but melting ice seeps through the material after some time. However, they are still reusable for multiple uses as they dry quickly with no appreciable change in the material.

Great for sensitive kids
They had these at the hospital that my son got his spine surgery from. He does not like things too cold. He does not like hard ice packs. He took a quick liking to these. Promising to keep ice locked in. Promising to keep ice cold for long periods of time. Soft. Comfortable. Works fast. I see why hospitals carry them. We had to buy theme because the hospital could only send us home with two.
