Hello like I just got this keyboard and I'm trying to set it up but of course there's no instructions can someone please help?

go to preferences, click on keyboard and follow instructions

cant get my mac to recognize my key board

Make sure your Bluetooth is turned on on the Mac and that the keyboard has batteries and is also "on". The power button is on the right hand side of the keyboard (it's the round part that holds the keyboard at a slight angle)

Will the keyboard still work if connected to a macbook that is closed shut cause its connected to a big monitor? or will it lose connection?

Yes, it will work. I only use this keyboard this way and it works great. As long as you're not cutting the power, you're fine.
