Defective
The first thing I noticed with this unit was the short length of connecting cables. Sufficient for desktops or laptops stacked on a desk. But hopelessly inadequate for rack mounted servers. So extra expense in ordering VGA extensions. Not good. Over the last few months. I have noticed PCs 2, 4 and 5 are lithargic when switching. Very frustrating. So all in all. A poor purchase. Take heed.11th october 2024 UPDATEThe problem I wrote of with delay in switching. Has now extended to ALL ports. This greatly reduces my speed of working. The unit will have to be replaced. UNFIT FOR PURPOSE

Terrible quality
I did not realise this product has only 4 reviews when i bought it but it is awful. I have 6 identical PC's i need connected to one monitor and they ALL have random lines, like old tv's static, running across the screen, some of them flicker and some of them show up in 4:3 format, some in 16:9.

Can't connect
I wasn't able to connect my supermicro servers to dell monitor. I was thinking its screen resolution, replaced with hd screen, still not working. Suppirtphone advertised is not answering.

Amazing product
The mounting brackets have a specific screw later so the bracket only mounts for rack mount and isn't able to be wall secured with them like a switch can. Otherwise absolutely no complaints. So happy with it and love it! Everything connects and works on the first time and setup is a breeze. The extra front usb ports are amazingly handy also.

Excellent KVM switch. Quick change of screens.
Worked like a charm. Although just a few days in use, hoping for excellent performance over a long period. Setup was easy and no tech support was needed.

Two ports used, 14 to go.
As an IT professional, I’ve seen my fair share of KVM switches, but the MT-VIKI 16X1 Rackmount KVM Switch is the LeBron James of the KVM world. It’s like they crammed an entire IT department into a 1U 19’’ rack space.First off, this thing has more ports than a pirate’s favorite map. With 16 ports, you could hook up an entire fleet of computers and still have room for more. It’s like a digital octopus, reaching out with 16 arms to connect all your devices. The included 16 KVM cables are a nice touch. It’s like Christmas morning for cable management enthusiasts. The cables are so plentiful, I half expected to find a partridge in a pear tree in the box.The VGA support is as crisp as a fresh apple, delivering clear and sharp images. It’s like having 20/20 vision in a world of blurry screens. The IR remote is the cherry on top. It’s like having your own personal butler, ready to switch between systems at your command. Who needs to get up and manually switch when you can do it from the comfort of your chair? And let’s not forget the 1U 19’’ rack fit. It slides into your rack like a well-tailored suit, saving you precious space. It’s like a game of Tetris where the KVM switch is always the perfect piece. In conclusion, the MT-VIKI 16X1 Rackmount KVM Switch is a must-have for any serious IT professional. It’s the Swiss Army Knife of KVM switches, ready to tackle any challenge with a port and a smile.

Good KVM Switch
The media could not be loaded. As an IT professional with extensive experience managing server racks, I recently had the opportunity to test out the MT-VIKI 1601UK-CH 16-port KVM switch in my own rack environment. I was thoroughly impressed with its performance, ease of use, and compatibility with a wide range of operating systems and devices. The switch's 16-port capacity allowed me to effortlessly connect and control all eight of my servers using a single USB keyboard, mouse, and monitor. This significantly streamlined my workflow and reduced the clutter of cables and devices around my rack. The switch's two switching options, panel buttons and an IR remote, provided convenient and flexible control over the connected servers. I particularly appreciated the IR remote, which allowed me to switch between servers from a distance without having to reach the rack. The plug-and-play functionality of the KVM switch eliminated the need for any additional software installation, making it incredibly easy to set up and use. This feature saved me valuable time and effort, allowing me to focus on managing my servers rather than troubleshooting technical issues. The KVM switch's compatibility with a wide range of operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Linux, and DOS, made it a versatile solution for my server environment. This flexibility allowed me to seamlessly integrate the switch into my existing infrastructure without any compatibility concerns. The support for resolutions up to 1920x1440 ensured that the KVM switch could handle the high-resolution displays commonly used in modern server environments. This compatibility allowed me to maintain clear and crisp visuals while working on my servers. The included USB and VGA 2-in-1 integrated pigtail cables significantly reduced cable clutter and simplified the connection process. Unlike earlier cable designs that required connecting 32 individual cables, the pigtail cables streamlined the setup and made it easier to manage the connections.Overall, the MT-VIKI 1601UK-CH 16-port KVM switch proved to be an excellent addition to my server rack, providing me with the flexibility, control, and compatibility I needed to manage my servers efficiently. I highly recommend this KVM switch to anyone seeking a reliable and versatile solution for controlling multiple servers from a single console.
