If timer set for 2 minutes and you finish in 1, does it reset to 2 when it's your turn again?** A: For instance: Let's say you and I set the chess clock for two minutes per player and we start the game with your clock face, you take one minute to make your move and hit your paddle. Your clock face will display "0:01:00" and my clock face will start counting down from two minutes. Then let's say I take 30 seconds to make my move and then hit my paddle. My clock will display "0:01:30" and yours will start counting down from the one minute "0:01:00") you have remaining. Hope this helps. **Q: Can the timer be set for 2 minutes for use in another game other than chess?** A: Yes. It can be set for any number of minutes or seconds. We use it for speed Jenga. **Q: Can this be used for multiple controls? I'm new at this but the tournament rules are 30 moves in 90 minutes and then 60 minutes to finish.** A: No **Q: is there an alarm to indicate times up?** A: It has an alarm option but I haven't tried it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Chess Armory Digital Chess Clock - Portable Timer with Tournament and Bonus Time Features - Juegoal 20" Portable Chess & Checkers Set, 2 in 1 Travel Board Games for Kids and Adults, Folding Roll up Chess Game Sets, Extra 26 Checker Pieces, Tournament Thick Mousepad Mat with Storage Bag - How to Win at Chess: The Ultimate Guide for Beginners and Beyond --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.lk/products/341716515-chess-armory-6-years-and-up-digital-chess-clock-portable](https://www.desertcart.lk/products/341716515-chess-armory-6-years-and-up-digital-chess-clock-portable) --- *Product available on Desertcart Sri Lanka* *Store origin: LK* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
