John FriedaMidnight Brunette Colour Deepening Shampoo 250 Ml, Colour-Depositing Shampoo Brown Hair

I have always used John Frieda hair products for my natural very long dark hair. I just turned 40 and am grey in a few areas I have been using dye to cover since my 20's. My mother bought me a bottle of this by accident 2 months ago and wow. I thought I had found a way to stop hair going grey-then I looked at my shampoo. I was using colour enhancing lol It works as well as a demi toner and gets deeper each wash until a nice mix of dark is achieved. It works better than a home dye for me right now! I have debilitating disability and find dying my hair and other pamper sessions hard so this is a game changer. Cannot find a matching conditioner so have ordered the Midnight hair deepening mask to boost the colour. I can put dying my hair off for at least 2 months now. Ok its expensive for shampoo but lasts, is lovely to hair and does exactly what it says it does. I highly recommend especially as a quick pick me up before a night out or wknd away. Doesnt stain the shower or your towels either

I found my hair was in great condition after using this product. Actually didn't really darken it so was disappointed.

I’ve bought salon shampoos for hefty price tags but still my dark brown colour has faded. This shampoo is brilliant! It actually enhances the dark brown. I really love it and it’s a great price. I’m now on my second bottle!

This product is NOT a hair dye, it will enhance brown hair tones a little , it has a pleasant smell and did the job of a quality shampoo but don’t be expecting it to change your hair colour, get rid of grays or anything like that.I am blessed with very silky, straight, dark brown hair that is rapidly changing to a silver grey, I had hoped that this would help disguise the silver flea highway reducing the need for a dye session, but it didn’t, unfortunately. It did make my hair look very shiny and feel silky.

It's all fun and games until you spend £8 on something that brings you no joy. I've used it 3 days in a row and it's a pain drying waist-length hair in Winter so I've been blasting my hair with the hair dryer. Not only is it not even a hint of a shade darker, my hair is now dryer than my partner's humour. It doesn't even have the decency to stain the shelf it's been sat on as I chucked it in there out of frustration, slowly leaking out its contents. You know what I can get with £8? 4 2kg bags of Maris Piper potatoes and I know FOR A FACT that that would have made me significantly happier. Do yourself a favour, look elsewhere. Superdrugs used to do a bottle of tinted hair colour care shampoo and it worked wonders when I had my hair red and kept it a bright flaming red for a long time. So I guess it'd do the same for darker, brown shades. If it doesn't stain your hands or your shower grout, it's doing nothing. Stop staring at it willing it to happen or gaslight your into thinking OOH I THINK IT'S A TAD DARKER. It is not. Embrace your current hair state or get something else.
