Studiest tent on the market.
This tent is very well made and should last for years. The poles are made of steel, but flex when being put up. Did have a problem with some of the clips being too closed, but will take pliers next time to open up a bit. The fabric on the tent is canvass that is very thick and the mesh for the doors and windows are incredibly strong. There 6 inches of what looks to be PVC on the bottom and up 6 inches of the side which keeps all the water from running in. The only drawback is the weight. The tent weights in at a total of around 80 lbs. so to carry it I took the poles out so I could pack in my truck without hurting my back. Not for backpacking or carry in camping. But for just site camping in a campground the best all around tent. Took around 20 minutes for two people to set up the first time, but one could do it.

Very sturdy tent
Tent is heavy seams very well made set it up in about an hour myself Awning is little low but it’s made to sit under. The stakes they give you are useless. I live in Arizona they just bend if you try to hammer them in So I made some out of 3/8s lag bolts Temp was 108 today set it up today in my yard . Set up was ok instructions suck maybe an hour to get it up myself. Corners don’t get stakes

I am giving a long review for this tent because it is worth It. For a dry run, I had this tent setup for a week in my backyard because where I leave gets crazy winds in winter and this tent withstood like a champ against the winds that broke my vinyl fences during same week. Very pleased with this tent. Highly recommended. Read my review please. This tent will not disappoint you unless you are very new to camping world. High quality material, very well designed, sturdy and heavy duty. Not for novice or backpack campers for sure. I have all kinds of tents and I do camp a lot. I have a lot of experience in setting up different tents in different conditions and this one got me thinking a bit more while setting up due to instructions lacking, but it was worth it. I agree with the previous review on the instructions lacking. However it gives you the preliminary hints. The only difference is that there is no hole at the end corners of the tent to anchor the end of each poles. I set the tent up by myself only but second person is recommended. I am giving you the instructions you need. 1- Lay down the tent and make sure it is to the direction you want and steak the tent to the ground. 2- place the cross pole holder in the middle of the tent, secure it with the band in the center and attach the poles to each other (poles will extend a lot from the tent which is ok). 3- Secure the neighboring hooks to the cross bar poles in the center of the tent (only 2 or 3 of them only). 4- Insert the end of one pole in the last hook of relative corner (the stopper at the end of the pole must push the last hook away from the tent and the pole will curve and it is normal). 5- repeat step 4 for another pole. 6- secure remaining hooks on these two poles. 7- now by lifting the two secured poles and the cross bar pole holder in the center, you will see the center of the tent raising and poles curving more. 8- repeat securing the end of the remaining poles and hooks same way.

Is this company/seller still in business?
The bow steel frame of the tent broke, I contacted seller/manufacturer using website/email/phone and got zero response, nothing. Not recommended to buy this expensive tent if the manufacturer/seller will not exist or not stand behind its products.

Glad to find a tent that can stand up to the weather.
I am an old backbpacker and have done my share of traveling light and sleeping in tiny one-man tents, but these days when I take my wife and grandchildren out camping, I want the tent to be a dependable refuge from the wet and cold, with enough space to relax and goof off. I live where the wind blows hard fairly often, and without much warning. I have owned a couple of the large lighter weight nylon tents that were pretty good as long as the wind was under 20 knots, and it didn't rain too hard, and I just wasn't going to do that again. I needed a tent that could go the distance, with poles that wouldn't fracture under pressure. I expect this tent to last well past my lifetime -- and I expect it will be much loved by whichever of my descendants gets to use it. It is heavy and it cost more than most other tents. To me it is well worth it. I wish for storms when I'm in that tent.

Outstanding quality
This tent is heavy and definitely overkill for most campers. However, if you are looking for a good quality canvas tent that will last forever, this one is great. The design is modern and functional. The durability is amazing. I definitely feel protected from the elements in this tent. It’s also big enough to be comfortable but if it was any bigger, it might be overwhelming to set up. On a side note, I think it’s neat that it was made in Africa. Kind of makes it feel like a safari.
