It runs on 3 AAA batteries or an older iPad charger connection.
You can change colors or it will rotate the colors which would drive any normal person crazy after a while. I would buy it again if it ever breaks. A perfect night light to look over you as you sleep. The blue light is very subdued and easy to sleep with while on. Its LED light so costs to run it all night is really nothing.

Awesome & beautiful gift
We got this for a friend of ours that both of us love like a dad. He's 79 & Catholic. He's a retired LEO and retired Army Vet. We couldn't decide on what to get him for Christmas because he always says, he wants nothing. We saw this and took a chance. He nearly cried when he saw it. It made him so happy and he loved it so much that he bought 4 more to give to other friends.

Very nice quality for price
Good quality product with clear picture and glass. Film protector is applied for shipping to make sure it doesn't break so be sure to remove that to get best quality look. Light is a comfortable tone. My dad loved this as a Christmas gift.
