Screen stop working after 6 months! It first started with a dim light at the bottom, then shut down completely. I’m very disappointed!

This comes packaged very well to protect the screen. The tools included are cheap, but they work for the job. The only problem was getting enough torque on the handle when trying to remove the hinge screws. I just wrapped some cloth around it and duct taped it tightly to increase the diameter of the handle. Then it worked fine.To remove the bottom screws you need a pentalob wrench. It is not the same as a Torx wrench, though similar. At first I thought there wasn't a bit for the bottom screws, but under a magnifying glass I saw that the bit labeled 1.2 was the pentalob bit for the bottom screws.It looks great when installed. Apparently the screen is not True Tone anymore, but I can't really see a difference.The product pictures in the listing don't show it, but there is the Apple logo on the outside and says MacBook Air on the bottom of the screen just like the original.

One thing to note: the case color is just slightly darker than the original. So what, right? ( I speculate that this is an OEM screen that didn't pass QC for the case color. Their loss, my gain.). I have some experience under the hood, so the swap was easy, but tedious... as it always is). Hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new AIR... next time I'll at least close the screen before hitting the head, only to discover it had started pouring outside while I was temporarily 'distracted.'

It passed pretty much all monitor screen and good quality as well except that it does not support True Tone. Other than True Tone, I am satisfied pretty much. Funny thing is that I found out that UBreakIfix that I received previous service to get the screen took my 2 screws out of 6 connecting monitor. It is much better to do diy than getting it from 3rd party service center.

Works really well and not too difficult to replace. This is our third screen. They break VERY easily. Sone picked up his MacBook Air by the screen and it cracked right away. Buy the insurance!

So I will most likely update this review once I get another screen. Installation is actually very easy, however when we went to boot up the screen came back garbled (for lack of a better word) and you couldn't make out the desktop at all. I believe there is a issue with this screen, probably just a bad batch. I will give another one a try, but the quality seemed good.
