Good synopsis of 104 myths.
This is an excellent book for what it is - an overview and short synopsis of 104 myths from different cultures. The book is separated into major regions where the myths originated (ancient Greece, Rome, Asia, etc). I recommend this book. Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!

Great Source Books for students and for writers who need to refresh and find answers and original sources.
This series is great to have as a writer as a source reference as it not only gives a quick rundown of subjects but gives exacting sources for them so the reader (or writer in my case) can go to it to explore the complexities further. As well The Mythology book is well rounded bringing the mythologies of the African and other cultures into the genre once only dealing with Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythos.

pretty much ok book
used it for a class I taught in Mythology. GREAT GREAT price for what is almost a "coffee table book." Students liked it a lot. Me too, but it needs to be supplemented (of course) with other material to wring the magic out of myths. Since it is written by committee it lacks one overarching, penetrating look into what my "really" "Is". Read Von Neuman to get some of that: he's CGJung's top student. Wrote two fantastic fabulous books.

Good for synopsis of different mythologies around the aork
Really good for a simple synopsis of mythology from different cultures. I read this before I started on some of Hesiods work and I'm glad I did.

An Introduction to Mythology
This book is not great on detail but it gives a good overview of mythologies from various world cultures, not just Greek and Roman, which many such books have done in the past. A more detailed coverage of world mythology can be found in Donna Rosenberg’s treatment of the subject (World Mythology: An Anthology of Great Myths and Epics). However, Rosenberg’s book lacks the quality illustrations and images that this book provides.I hope you find my review helpful.

Hades
Bought this book to study an older period of time but instead found who I am. I am a Greek God. I know it’s hard to believe, but when I read the page about hades- I instantly related. It just made sense... I am the god of the underworld.

Well worth it.
Used as a teaching aid and was very useful. Younger children may find the layout dense but I had twelve year-olds poring over it.
