What exclusive reports come with the premium membership bundle? I don't see that clearly laid out.

There are a series of questionnaires that you'll have to fill out, but they're super quick and easy. I filled all of them, over 800 different questions and once you fill them out, you'll get the reports. I'm only going by memory because I'm doing a hard reboot of my phone and don't have the app right now, but I was able to find out about my BRCA-1 and BRCA-2, heart problems, diabetes, gall bladder issues, reproductive issues, brain issues such as migraines and MS. You'll also find out about some genetic issues that you may pass on to your children and various genetic traits. But, it all ties with the questionnaires - answer them all and you'll receive all the reports that are available to date. My advice is to answer them all, it took me about a week give or take, but the more questionnaires you answer, the more information you'll receive. Given that we know nothing about my father's side of the family because he was adopted when he was a toddler, this information is proving invaluable because there are things that we were not aware we should have been watching, such as a higher chance of migraines, which I have and a higher chance at heart attacks and stroke, which my elder brother suffered from both. I'm sorry I can't be more forthcoming with everything that's available, but you'll be doing your entire family an invaluable favor, both now and in the future if you purchase this kit. The peace of mind and being armed with my information has been enormous.

I got my 23and me way back when they were first starting up. My membership has lifetime access which is awesome. I've texted with several cousins that I didn't know existed, and found out I have a fairly rare health condition that was mistaken for COPD. I enjoy having access to everything. What percentage of DNA is actually tested and how many times is it tested??

Hello - 23andMe performs genotyping, meaning that we look at specific positions along your genome that are known to differ between individuals. These positions are called SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms). Many of these SNPs are incorporated into our reports. We analyze over 600,000 SNPs across all 23 chromosome pairs including ~3200 SNPs on the mitochondrial DNA and ~2100 SNPs on the Y chromosome. Hope that helps!

Will this test give women results for maternal and paternal genetic ancestry?

Hello - The majority of our tools and features use your autosomal DNA, so both genetically male and female users will receive ancestry information based on DNA they inherit from both their mother and father. The only piece of information that our service does not directly provide for users who are genetically female is the paternal haplogroup assignment, as this is identified using Y-chromosome DNA.
