Q: Im concerned that some silicone can have trace amounts of heavy metals like lead and especially cadmium. Is this free if heavy metals?

Hi, Janelle. The GoToob is made from a high-purity silicone and it does not have heavy metals such as lead or cadmium. This is the same grade of silicone used for such things as silicone baby bottle nipples and silicone baby bottles, applications where purity is of utmost concern.

Q: I can't read the teensy white cap labels, and permanent markers rub off almost immediately. Any suggestions for labeling these?

Instead of labeling I use the actual bottle colors and associate the sequence of my hygiene tasks with the colors of the rainbow. For example, ROYGBV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet). For me I shampoo first so I use Red, then conditioner (Orange), then bodywash (Green), lastly lotion (Blue). Kinda dorky but works for me!

Q: How do you wash out products after use? I’ve tried hot water and soap, and alcohol. Nothing works.

I use mine for canned dog food treats while walking my dog. I soak the lid and tube in soapy water so it’s easier to rinse out. Then I put both pieces on the top rack of my dishwasher. I have clips that hold them in place. I’ve done this hundreds of times with no problem.

Q: Can you put a mixture containing essential oils in these?

I would not. They have good caps but not great--oils might leak.
