The Pasilla chile is rarely sold in spice stores. It is an excellent chile for spice rubs and seasoning.The quality of these chiles met my expectations. The dried chiles ground into a powder nicely. This chile is used for its rich blend of sweet hot taste. It adds a smoking depth to rubs, without the extreme hotness, or bitterness.

Tastes great, but it came with the main label on the front spelled "passila", which was very odd
