Essential Accessory for anyone with Ipaf
Its quality is good and robust. I already had a screen protector on my iPad I found the plastic screen to be unreliable at times so I just ripped it off. After that using the neck strap and kickstands were really great for work and lazing around.

Much more useful than the Samsung keyboard case it replaced
I returned a Samsung keyboard cover (the expensive one with the trackpad and S-Pen cover) and bought this instead along with a Supershieldz tempered glass screen protector. Now my tablet is much better protected, and it's much easier to hold and actually work with in all situations where I wouldn't just pull out my laptop instead. The Samsung keyboard cover was fine if using the tablet as a laptop, but otherwise the keyboard just gets in the way, and the keys press against the screen when it's closed, so I felt like I needed a screen protector anyway. Honestly it is easier to just get a separate Bluetooth keyboard for the times when I need to type, and use this case instead. This and the Samsung case work equally badly for typing on my lap, but at least this case lets you hold it through the hand loop on the back while writing with the S-Pen, so you can use it for note-taking sitting in a lecture hall, on the sofa, or even walking around a classroom. So in that way this case really brings out the functionality of the tablet for the cases where a tablet is most useful. The case itself seems well-made with a snug fit and all of the cut-outs in the right locations, including the two microphones and ambient light sensors. My tempered glass screen protector made the frame bulge ever so slightly (that's how good of a fit the case is), and made it slightly harder to get the frame pieces to snap into place, but just a little pressure made it all fit fine, and there's no wiggling or sliding that would cause the screen protector to peel up like has happened with other tablet cases I've used. The back hand loop is thick, cushiony, and comfortable with no ragged edges. The outer flexible cover fits snuggly and keeps everything together well. It's also quite sleek for what it is, much more so than the similar 3-piece case I have for my iPad mini. However, it's also a little less rubbery/springy, so I'm not sure which would be better in the event of a drop. I feel like this case would be quite good, and certainly better than the Samsung case, but it's possible that a little extra cushion on the corners would be even more protective. But without a drop test I can't say for sure. I'll update my review if I accidentally perform such a test =P.

Oh knight in matte black, rubber armor. I owe you my digital life.
Today, I put my iPad on the roof of my pickup truck to repack some of my business boxes in the rear of my cab, and I left without another thought about it. Two miles down some gravel roads and a turn or two onto a major thoroughfare, I still hadn’t realized it was not in the cab with me. Approaching 50 miles an hour, I noticed something in my side mirror go flying behind me. I checked my rear view mirror and saw what looked like a flip flop tumbling through the air and landing on the pavement in the middle of the road. Suddenly, I had a flash—where’s my iPad? It was not inside my truck. I slammed on the brakes and made a wildly illegal U-turn into a vacant parking lot. I drove back to the spot and could see my iPad helplessly lying on the yellow stripes in the middle of the road. The bottom of my stomach dropped into the floorboard of my truck. I waited for several cars to pass and ran into the road to retrieve the shattered remnants of the machine that contains the vast majority of my business and my personal life. Thankfully, no other vehicle had crushed it, but I still expected to find only its shattered pieces. Holding it my hand, I turned it over, certain it would be completely destroyed. To my complete shock, there was absolutely no damage to my iPad and only scratches on the face of my case. 50 miles an hour, ten feet into the air, on a very busy highway—virtually without a mark on either! I simply could not believe it. In my mirror I had seen it land on the corner and bounce back into the air—but the case had done exactly what it was designed to do, it saved the machine I depend on literally 16 hours a day. I’m not accustomed to writing reviews, but this experience convinced me that I had to tell others that this case is worth more than I paid for it—worth twice what I paid for it. I’m typing these words on my beloved iPad in the dark, in my bed, because I can’t bear to be any less appreciative of this case than I am of the iPad it preserved. This case and the iPad it saved will spend tonight nestled against my chest, and I will offer it suitable sacrifices of incense and prayers each morning until the machine it guards has become outdated and useless. Honestly, I may consider adding to my final wishes that this case be placed in a sacred vessel above our iPad altar. I have no doubt that this case will survive the entire life of my precious iPad and through the coming apocalypse. At the least, I will bequeath it to my children and their children. It will be revered for generations, and my ashes will smile at its long life and the legends it will inspire. I kneel before it, forever indebted to it and it’s fearless protection of the digital repository of information I cannot afford to lose. Amen.

Nice update, near perfect if you use your iPad a lot!
Bought this to replace same one I'd had for over two years, the stand finally broke. Same build quality but I'm only going three star on this because the stand is too hard to open, you have to really pull it hard to get it to lock in position and I suspect I'm going to break it soon. I was right, it broke within three months, but, it’s replacement (same model).lasted almost two years (I use both the stand and the swivel function a LOT. . Got the replacement. It is a bit bigger, more padded, power/screenshot button in a valley no, I was used to it being on a high point so I’m getting used to that. The only complaint I have after going through four of these is that with this update they decided to glue a cheesy 99 cent screen protector onto the frame. I already have an expensive glass matte protector and their screen protector brought back the glare, thankfully it only took a razor knife and a few minutes to cut it out. Five stars because it fits my lifestyle so well but that protector has to go!

Big Mistake
I had been looking for a durable case with a shoulder strap. I research things to death before purchasing them. I watched several videos and read reviews. Overwhelmingly, people loved this case. I do not and hope I can return it. I have had it for less than 2 days and hate it so much, I went back to my basic flip over case which barely will stand. It was difficult to put together. My iPad Pro 12.9” was a bit difficult to line up properly in the bottom case, only because there is a little extra room for a couple other features. You have to be careful to get the buttons aligned properly so a plastic piece can be engaged the from the outside button which will be covered by the silicone piece. With the case on, the buttons felt Ike they were in a difference place, almost further toward the middle than they are. I probably would have adjusted to that with time. I also found it difficult to get the plastic shells aligned to snap together. And…don’t get me started on the difficulty attaching the strap to the case! Also, if you don’t want to use the strap, you have two pieces hanging off the case. Those remain on the case so you snap the rest of the strap to them. I found that I had to release the back grip strap to get the stand to open which it did with some difficulty. It wasn’t quick and easy to do and felt like it would easily break. Now the biggest reason, I dislike this case is that the bezel makes it EXTREMELY difficult to navigate the iPad. This iPad works with touch. You swipe up from the bottom to gain access to all your apps. The bezel interferes with this simple gesture and I have to try each swipe several times causing me to think I’ll never get to my apps. It also happens with the action navigator which comes down from the top. In its favor, the case is probably quite protective. The edges are high around the screen and the silicone cover is thick and seems very protective. But…what good is all that when you can’t use the iPad as it was designed to be used? So, after less than two days, I will try to get my money back from Amazon. I don’t have all the original packaging. I hope they will approve the return.

Some great qualities but the screen protector is a real liability
Outside case is strong and protective. Back hand strap is comfortable and useful. Back stand is useful and sturdy one you loosen the hand strap to allow the stand to fully open and lock. Inserting the iPad is initially tricker than expected because of how tight the side locks are but once you figure it out (use th triangular tool that comes with the case) it is easy. The problem (and the reason I returned the case) is that the screen protector is not the usual kind of screen protector plastic and does not function like a usual smooth protector. You have to press hard on the icon/selection and pressing any selection in a corner is sometimes impossible (sometimes necessitating taking off the screen protector to be able to press things like the page expander button in the upper left corner). The manufacturer states in the product information that the screen protector can be taken off BUT the clear protector part can't be separated from its black frame, if you take the screen protector off the iPad can't be secured inside the outside frame because it will only be held by the narrow rubber lips on the inside of the back frame, the iPad easily falls out of the frame if you turn it upright or forward.

A perfect fit for iPad
The case arrived with instructions on how to disassemble the case, and how to insert the iPad, and reassemble. It fits perfectly and appears to be quite rugged. I hope to never have to worry about my iPad being damaged by a fall.
