Q: are they wide in the calf?--I have wide calves.

They would be the greatest socks in the world, "BUT" THEY DO NOT COME IN LARGER SIZES !! I have slim calves and they fit great. You can't put them in the dryer or they will shrink. Mayby some say they will make larger sizes. Probably would not fit your calf size.

Q: will they really fit size 11

I wear size 9 and they are tight

Q: fabric content says 100% cotton and a mix of spandex and cotton which one is it?

The socks are made of 80% cotton, 18% spandex and 2% elastic

Q: Why does the description says 6 pairs pack women's cotton knee high socks?

It was 6 socks, not 6 pairs. Perhaps seller doesn’t know difference. Lol
