I would describe this as a medium weight, large brimmed, leather hat with a leather strap. A little lighter weight than my previous brown leather hat, it looks very shower proof. The brim is a little wider than my previous hat, which keeps more sun off but is slightly less attractive to look at. The fit is a little looser than I expected. The leather a little lighter.This hat has does seem like very fair value for money.The hat seems slightly lower cut than my previous hat, as though the height is slightly lower. It seems like a very practical outdoor piece of kit more than a design statement.The cord is leather.I bought this for gardening, outdoor walking, and holidays. I think it’s probably more workmanlike than a holiday hat, but will probably end up being used for everything.

Really lovely hat. The company were amazing too as the first size I ordered was too big and the next size came the next morning. So well packaged too.

I received the hat, upon opening the box found it was not as described in listing, It was supposed to be a Bushmans hat with a flat brim all the way around the hat, but no the sides were curled up like a Cowboy hat and there no way to flatten them. other than this the hat was perfect in every way, good quality and a good fit.

I've been looking for this style for over a year--and THIS is the one!! It fits just right, and it LOOKS just fine as can be!

Feels very well built and fits as expected. The brim has a spring wire, so it is not all that amenable to shaping (it could be bent, but that would be a permanent bend). Still, the brim has a slight curve to it (more like a cowboy hat) and is not as flat as some of the pictures seem to show. Bottom line is that I really like the hat.

Ordered this hat during these crazy times, wasn’t sure it was going to show up after three weeks of no update. But I got in contact with the company, very helpful and understanding. The hat showed up just days after contact with walker and Hawkes. Great hat! Fits good, made with decent material and definitely water resistant for the northeast weather. Would most definitely recommend this hat and company, will be buying from them again for sure
