Strong smell, but seems like a genuine product
I needed two fresh foam blocks for an FX6 after giving a friend a couple of old, dirty ones to cycle a new tank. These are a great price compared to local brick and mortar stores. However, they smelled SO strong out of the box, and the smell didn't go away even with copious rinsing. I was so worried they were a counterfeit product that I went to Petco and bought the same item to compare. The box looks exactly the same, and while the Petco Fluval foam was much less smelly, it clearly has the same base plastic-y smell that this does. In fact, it amplified when I rinsed it and it started to smell just as bad. I think it likely depends on how long it's been given time to offgas. After letting my smelly Amazon foam pieces lay out to dry in the open air for a couple days, they were much better. Have not noticed any deleterious effects on my tank or fish by swapping this smelly foam in, but will update if I do.

This is a great addition to my filter. Amonia was removed after 2 days. I put them as the last fiter.I don’t have fluval filter so I just cut them to fit on my filter.

These polishing pad works great in combination with the coarse foams of the FX and the filter floss pad. My biomedia stays really clean and my water is crystal clear.

Yes it's technically "premium" filter floss, but they work great, fits well and are easy to clean until they are decomposed.

Excellent produit
Excellent produit. Parfait pour le Fx6. Facile d’utilisation. Nous avons eu un gros problème de nitrites durant un temps, qui nous a fait malheureusement perdre quelques poissons. Même si le problème de nitrites est passé, j’aime mieux prévenir avec l’utilisation de ce produit! Nous sommes très satisfait de notre achat!
