Well, the Raisins Are Good....
I've purchased this brand of stollen three times and this one is, by far, the worst.The powered sugar is impressively tasteless and the marzipan has none of the almond flavor it should have. As my title notes, the raisins are fine.No more of these for me.

The real deal
At this time of year, there are many choices for authentic German Christmas stollen. Having grown up in German American neighborhood in New York, I've had many choices re Xmas stollen. I'm here to tell you this is THE example of the Xmas cake. You might balk at the price. But, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Have it with a little butter, and you'll think you've gone to heaven.
