Almost high end phone at a cheap price
I've been a fan of Motorola's "Moto G" line of phones since the Moto G6. They seem to have a knack for eking out the most in performance and features while keeping the in the budget territory. The Moto G100 is a bit of a different beast though. This is actually approaching a flagship level smartphone. It has a speedy Snapdragon 870 processor, with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The screen is running at 1080x2520 at 90 hz, with a 64 MP main camera for stills, and video camera that runs at 6K 30 FPS or 4K 60 FPS. There are other specs you can look at, but these are the highlights, the rest are just as impressive at the sub $400 price point this phone goes for.The user experience thus far has been fantastic. It runs a near stock version of Android 12 (at the time of writing this review). Apps and menus load very quickly. The screen is very crisp and supports HDR. While it won't beat an OLED screen the overall brightness makes it hard to complain about. In terms of features, it has the famous Moto gestures that fans have come to love (double chop for flashlight, twist for camera, volume buttons for media controls, etc.) and maintains the headphone jack as well as the expandable storage through it's dual sim slot. Most peculiarly, it includes a dock for connecting to a display. While this is fairly unique, it's not particularly useful for me; I also ran into scaling issues. Personally, I would have rather had $50 off the price, but your mileage may vary. The 21:9 aspect ratio of the screen is a bit of a double edged sword. I found it quite pleasant for vertical scrolling applications like a web page or Facebook, and the extra screen real estate was nice for when the keyboard was present. Conversely, you lose much of that screen real estate in most videos and games. 21:9 support is rare and a fraction of your screen will be wasted on black bars. It's also a bit awkward to walk around with as it shifts in my pocket a bit. There are a few other odds and ends I thought I would address. The build quality is fairly good, it's got a nice weight and finish to it. The battery life is excellent (5000 mAh) which will get you through the day even with heavy use. And finally, sound quality is good, but disappointingly, it's only one mono speaker at the bottom.Despite some odd design choices, the bottom line is that you are getting a relatively high end phone for a relatively low end price. It may not be the right choice for everyone, but anyone looking to get the best bang for their buck should at least consider it.

Fingerprint reader doesnt register always, very fast good mid-tier however
Pretty good mid-tier phone. Not too cheap, but not the latest and greatest. Top of the line processor, lots of memory and hard drive space. This one takes like 3-5 seconds to open some apps, that my old phone Moto g6 would take 1-2 minutes to do for the same app. My only downgrade is the quite often the fingerprint reader will not read my fingerprint, and only after 5 tries or so it will lock me out, and require another method to unlock my phone. I don't have facial unlock on. If the fingerprint unlock was on the front like my old phone g6 it would probably read it better; I think the on the side its a little too small to get the finger print entirely. Sometimes the fingerprint unlock works of course, but not always.

Constant cavalcade of ads
Cumbersome. Forces the user to learn its idiosyncrasies. Better recharging speed. Must reconfigure all choices after restart. Have to restrain my desire to throw this phone out the window.

Phone is great, but....
Seller sent wrong color. Instructions are in Spanish, which is fine for me. Buyer be aware. I'm currently trying to resolve an issue with the seller. The dock that according to their description is supposed to be included was not in the package. I'll update if it gets sent.Update-The seller sent the dock after a bit of back and forth. They weren't aware that the description had included it. I'm happy that this was resolved.
