Very fragile, but damn they're pretty and feel great in hand. I think we've broken 3 of the 10 we have bought, but we will continue replacing as necessary. One simply broke at the stem when too much force was used, another broke from going hot to cold water while hand washing, and another simply broke because of mishandling. All could have been avoided, but I'd imagine they'd see a similar experience in most households.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I highly recommend Spiegelau Definition Bordeaux Wine Glasses. Great, elegant, top quality glasses. Very light, nicely balanced. Design and accuracy are way ahead Reidel and other competitors' products. Use and clean with extra care - glasses are made from very thin glass. I would nerve put those to dishwasher. My first shipment was delivered with one broken glass in the box. Poor packing, they just dropped original box with glasses to another cartoon box with no adding any bobble wrap or foam between. Thanks Amazon, they shipped me the replacement.

I bought the Bordeaux glass as a daily use alternative to Grassl and Zalto stems that have grown too expensive to risk breaking. These are light, thin and elegant in the hand. The balance might not be quite as good as the others, and the height could stand to be just a bit shorter, but given the price differential, these are a very good alternative.

The Spiegelau glasses are perfection. We love them. But understand you’re getting a fragile, paper thin glass with the most delicate stem On a wine glass I have ever experienced. Washing and moving these around is not for the faint of heart and you certainly don’t want to trust your dishwasher. Already broke one when we bumped it on a cabinet putting it away.

The glasses look great! I love the look of these altos, but they are just so gastrin expensive and these are great compromise. The only reason that I do not give this product five stars as the fact that one arrived broken. This is probably not the fault of the company but the fault of the shipper. I highly recommend if you’re looking for an incredible glass for incredible wine

Yesterday the two pairs I ordered arrived safe and intact. I’m not sure if due to all the complaints of damaged glasses if the packing was beefed up as mine were packed very securely, double boxed with air packs. Also the stems which are the most fragile part were secured inside the product box. I would have no reservations ordering more. These are very thin, elegant wine glasses. They have a nice balanced, light feel, and a nice comfortable thin brim which I’m a believer enhances the taste of the wine. The stems just long enough for proper swirling. At approximately $30 a glass I feel they are very much worth it. However, I would have strong reservations putting these in the dishwasher.

These were a 15 yr anniversary gift and my husband loved them. They’re so dainty that it makes me so nervous, but they’re very durable. We definitely hand wash to be safe. They are lightweight, but perfect size for men and women’s hands.

Sehr leichte und filigrane Universal Weingläser in einer außerordentlich guten Qualität. Sind oft im Einsatz und haben bereits einiges mitgemacht. Bei der Reinigung sollte natürlich darauf geachtet werden - nicht zu viel druck auf die Innenwände anzuwenden.

I love these glasses. They are very similar to the Jancis Robinson glasses which are around twice the price. They are smaller around the bowl of the glass than the JR ones so perfect for white wine. I'm also pleased they are made for the dishwasher, they come out so clean.
