BUY IT.
Im traditionally a pad user. Tampons have never felt right for me- I have a heavy flow, the risk of TSS, the smell, the waste, the material used to make tampons... Ive never liked the way they felt. Pads are really not any better, but at least I have a visual of what stage Im in during my period. I switched to organic pads about a year ago, which has been a little better. BUT. I was still bothered by the thought that I was sitting in my own stuff, contributing to waste, still at risk for TSS, and the occasional leaking and general discomfort. Ive been reading and watching a lot about cups lately, about all the risks and benefits, and decided to give it a go.Ive had two (LARGE) children, am not yet 30, so I ordered the large cup. It came with a really cute little case, which I love, and detailed instructions. I was on day two of my cycle, so still in a pretty heavy flow, and it seemed like the perfect time to try this cup out.1. Insertion was easy for me on the first go. I didnt really know how it was supposed to feel, but I felt pretty confident about the seal I got and nothing felt weird.2. At one point, I totally forgot I was wearing it. I had no discomfort, and because I took some extra strength Tylenol, I wasnt feeling the cramps. It felt like a normal day off cycle.3. I worked outside all day at my grandmothers. I was sweaty. And gross. And normally by this point, I would definitely have been smelling myself. And probably chaffing from the edges of the pad. Not one of those things happened. I had no leaking, no discomfort, no smell, no worries. As someone who normally has a hyper awareness about body image and smell, this. is. HUGE.4. When I got home, removing it to be dumped and cleaned was super simple and damn near mess free. I kind of expected it to be a horror movie, but it wasnt bad. I broke the seal by pinching one side in and pulling on the stem and pulled it out slowly. I rinsed it out and put it right back in. Easy peasy.Im going to use this for the whole cycle, even at night, and see how it does. Im really excited to try cups as an eco and bio friendly alternative to pads. If this works the way its supposed to, its a freakin game changer. I could go camping, running, swimming, long car rides, hell, even sleeping could be made more enjoyable during my period because I dont have to worry about pads. And I can definitely see how this could impact women in countries that dont have amenities like we do here (US), as well as the environment, and our wallets.Im definitely going to updated this review later when I have more notes, but so far, Im overjoyed. :)*Update- End of CycleYeah, Im sold on mentrual cups. I wore this all week, even at night, and never had one leak. Dump it twice a day and move on with your life. I cant believe i never tried this before, and I highly encourage any woman reading this to give it a go. Its worth it.**2nd cycle use**This is the first cycle Ive started with the cup. Evidently my first two days are heavier than I thought because Ive had to empty more frequently. I did have a pretty massive leak this morning, but that was my fault because I went over 10 hours on a heavy day. I cant get over how amazing this cup is.

Great Purchase for PCOS Cysters
I’ve had two cycles to use this and I cannot say enough how much I love this product. I rarely leave reviews but this has changed my life. I would highly recommend using a menstrual cup.I have polycystic ovarian syndrome, with irregular and unpredictable periods. At times, I would use a box of ultra tampons plus a pack of high absorbency pads in one cycle because my flow was so heavy. Using the Luna, I can sleep through the night with no issues. I am so glad that the cup has eliminated those every hour on the hour bathroom trips. And I’m not constantly worried about leaks and staining my clothes when I’m out and about away from a restroom. I love the peace of mind.I was a little nervous but after a particularly rough, messy cycle, I decided to make the purchase. I’m sure I had the same worries as others about insertion, but I found that the C fold method works best for me. Easy and painless. It won’t get lost inside or anything like that.A few small details that I enjoy: the Luna has measurements in milliliters on the side. I find that really helpful. As I mentioned earlier, I have PCOS, so this will be a good tool for my doctor’s visits. I read with some other menstrual cups that the grip is too long and it was necessary to cut it down for comfort. While everyone is different, I found the grip on the Luna to be very comfortable. It’s not too short for removal, but not long enough to even feel it when inserted so I had no discomfort. Also, the material of the cup is very soft yet flexible and super easy to clean. The storage case for the cup is very discreet and cute, actually looks like a little coin purse.Definitely the best purchase that I have made in a while! If you are hesitant about it like I was, don’t wait any longer!

You’ll never go back to pads and tampons!
I was very excited to get my period (that’s a new one, lol) just so I could try these menstrual cups. And let me just say that I was not disappointed. I am only on my first cycle and I already love mine. I have tried both the small and large sizes and both work just fine. Depending on your flow, the large might be necessary for you, but I found even after 10 hours my large cup was barely half full. The small is most likely sufficient. I must make clear - the transition between tampons and these cups is weird, but it is well worth it. The insertion and removal is something that takes practice, but it is not hard to catch on. A lot of people show the folding method, I find it easier to push the one side of the cup inside (there will be a diagram with your purchase). It isn’t hard for them to open up once theyre inserted, either. When they’re inserted correctly and opened you should feel a slight pressure or suction, and that is how it stays in place. The sides of the cup should also not be bent or folded at all, they should be rounded to show they are completely opened. You’re probably questioning how comfortable these cups are. Let me tell you, you don’t even know it’s there most of the time, if it’s inserted correctly. You may feel the little stem at points, but that is the extent. I had one situation with leakage, but that was when I did not check to make sure the cup was fully opened, and I could very much feel it after insertion. If you can feel it moving, it isn’t inserted right. If you can only feel the stem, if at all, you’re all set. Overall, you need to be comfortable with your body in order to get proper insertion and removal. You must also be able to handle the sight of the blood. When you go 10 hours on a heavy day with one of these cups like I did, you have what looks like a mini murder scene. But these cups are phenomenal. Must buy, it will save you time and money in the long run, and with such great leak security, it will save you your sanity as well. Takes some getting used to, but I won’t go back to pads and tampons. You won’t either.
