Loving her was easier than…
Bought this to play “Loving her was easier”Very responsive, plays just like my other Hohner harmonicas. I previously bought a Lee Oskar low E and was really disappointed, felt like I had to blow much harder and had slow response, I ended up not being able to use it for solos. So decided to buy this one (more expensive) and have been very happy with it.Case is a littler thicker on the bass side, however it still fits just fine in my K&M harmonica holder.

5-Star Plus
My wife tells me I have too many harps, but I did not have a Hohner Thunderbird. They are rather pricey and I was happy with my low-keyed harmonicas made by Lee Oskar, Seydel, my Hohner Rockets and especially my Manji Olives. But the Thunderbird is a whole new game.Completely in-tune right out of the box and very responsive. All low harps seem to be great for ‘chugging’, and all the YouTube reviews demonstrate T’birds using that technique. I seldom play that way. I play single note melodies almost exclusively. The Thunderbird shines on single notes and makes it easier to hit and hold every note at a consistent tone and volume. They help me sound better than I actually am.So, would I recommend them to you? Duh! I had this harp for about an hour when I ordered another in a different key. Take the plunge, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice Low Sound
I received this yesterday, and right out of the box, all the holes blow and draw perfectly. I don't know if it gets any easier, but I like it the way it is.I already have a couple of Low Key Harmonicas. One is a Special 20 in Low E, and the other is a Big River in Low F. This Thunderbird is in the Key of Low Bb. All of these Harmonicas play nicely, but of course, as usual, you get what you pay for. The Thunderbird seems to be the King of the Low Key Harmonicas. It's not good for playing Folk Music. But it makes you want to just jam all day long. It has a very echo-y sound. It's my first Thunderbird and I would like to get all of the available Keys. I highly recommend this Harmonica._____________________________________________________________________________________I had to do a little update on my first review. I got this Thunderbird a day before Christmas. It's February, 2013 now, so I've had it for over a month. In my first review I said that it wasn't good for playing Folk Music. I was wrong. With a little practice,my playing it has improved. I liked it right out of the box, but now it's awesome. I was just playing the old Spiritual song "Swing Low Sweet Chariot", and I'm just loving the raspy sound of the Thunderbird. I'm gonna have to dig deep and get more Thunderbirds. Yeah, I know, they're pretty expensive, but if you like Marine Bands, and Crossovers; this is as good as it gets.

Nice deep sound easy and fun to play
I own a few harmonicas and am a novice really just having fun at this point. This is a nice product that comes in a nice case. The low turned K of F adds some deep notes - especially when most people tend to buy ones in the Key of C. A bit on the pricey side, but certainly worth the price. I recommend this to anyone wanting a nice quality harmonica.

Alright
I thought it was gonna be like the Crossover, my mistake, it's alright but little expensive for what it is.

Wow!!!
I love my 16 hole chromatics, but sometimes I just want something in one hand that makes me feel the music is so low I'm going right through the floor. First it was the double low C. I hardly have to get my lips close to it, just breathe and the depth is there. On to the low G, the Eb. What's next? This is a "private audience" instrument, not for the grand performance. Since I go to bed early, I typically take one harmonica with me to help me relax. Now it is always a T-bird.I showed it to a harp store manager who also sells guitars and harmonicas. There we were, nose to nose over the counter, as he marvelled at this sound of a low low C from this pint-sized 10 hole! get it watch them marvel!
