Not finished by a long shot
Deb DeArmond is my favorite Christian author. I’m also blessed to call her “friend”. We worked together when I was in my twenties and reconnected years later thanks to social media. Amazingly enough, we had the opportunity to work on a project together again in my late 40s, and now in my 50’s as well.I’ve read all of her work-even when it didn’t pertain to my current circumstances. As influential as she was one-on-one in my twenties, her ability to speak the truth in a loving way is much needed by many. Her faith and humor are welcome in any situation, and I can apply her wisdom with mother’s-in-law or spouses, neither of which I have, to my other relationships. In We May Be Done, But We’re Not Finished, Deb gathered an eclectic group of women who demonstrate life is not over. Not after 50, 60, or 70. Not after death, divorce, illness, or job loss. Each is an inspiration and beckons me to live as big a life as I can dream. As long as you’re breathing, you’ve still got time. I know. I’m a woman whose life over 50 has been richer than I could have imagined.

You are Called, Qualified, and Relevant. Loved this bouyant boost to my confidence.
How do I behave on the other side of the BG Five-0? Six-0? Shall I wear my hair shorter as an “older” person? Once I finish my career, what shall I do? Women whose words feel like hugs answer these questions of mine with timeless wisdom and powerful stories in this encouraging book. If you doubt whether you should invest yourself in a second career, or whether you’re still relevant at whatever age you find yourself, sit down in a cozy chair and sip some insight from these confidence-building authors. The bewildering middle years vanished in sassy, spirit-filled reimagining of all I have before me and all I’m called to be as I turned the pages. A heart-felt thank you to Deb DeArmond and her author friends for lifting my confidence over the top bar to see how much I have yet to be and do. So glad I treated myself to this book. Ordering more for birthday gifts.

Inspiring! Amazing Stories of 50+ Women Who Laugh Without Fear of the Future!
Filled with heartwarming, heartbreaking, and heartfelt stories, Deb DeArmond's book will win your heart! Through change, pain, and amazing adventures with God, women share their stories so others will see, We May Be Done But We're Not Finished. Aging gets a bad rap, especially when it comes to women, but this book dispels all the myths and encourages us that the best years of our lives are yet to come. Saying yes to new adventures with God has nothing to do with how many candles are on our cakes; dreams have no expiration date. Throughout the book, we see it's never too late to make a difference in the world. When we yield to God's plans for us, there are no limits as to where He will take us for our good and His glory. We may be done with a season or two, but there's no retiring from Kingdom work!

Collection of Wisdom & Encouragement for women in the second half of life
If you are approaching, have reached, or even surpassed the fifty-year mark in your life, you may be wondering what life will hold for you in your "twilight" years. I have to admit that, when I was younger I had the impression that once I reached that age it was only a matter of coasting into my senior years and then limping to the finish line of my life. I believed that dreams and goals were only for the young.Deb DeArmond and several of her friends definitely changed my view of "retirement." I was struck by the varied experiences of these women of faith--some faced health scares, the end of marriages, or going back to school. While they may have had different challenges and dreams, the one thing they had in common was learning that God could still use them.In this past year of so much uncertainty, we all could use a dose of hope. And DeArmond's book is an incredible source of hope. Readers cannot help but admire the tenacity and resilience of the women who contributed to this book. I loved that author biographies are included in the back with the other books they have written. This book is a collective treasure of wisdom that will inspire and guide women of all walks of life to being open to where God may lead them in the second half of their life. Grab copies for a mother, grandmother, or any woman in your life who needs to be reminded that retirement isn't an end but rather the beginning of fresh possibilities!

Living, loving, loss, redemption and hope after 50
I love this book filled with great short stories written by women of faith who share their real life experiences. Honest and raw stories of life’s joys, heart aches and healing. It is a book filled with encouragement that every woman at any age can appreciate. Young woman who have yet to experience the trials of marriage, parenting, aging parents, identity etc. can see that people survive the ups and downs and become stronger for it. Each story is unique and shares beautiful scripture that gave them hope and confidence. Truly a reflection of a Proverbs 31:25 woman who is “clothed in strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future.” It’s a book that I will read over and over when I need reassurance that all will be okay!!!!

Ready for My Third Act
Enchanted by this book's title and premise, I marched my 63-year-old self straight to my La-Z-Boy for a vigorous read. I laughed, cried, and cringed in shame when I saw my own defeatist attitudes reflected in a writer's experience. But don't get me wrong...this is not a preachy book. It's a love anthem from my sisters in arms (most of us wearing long sleeves to conceal flabby triceps) who have to look in the rear view mirror to see the 50-year mile marker. I'm thankful to have found this gem, especially as I'm currently retooling for a new career as a writer. It will be the Third Act of my life's play, and I feel more prepared since reading this book. If I could award six stars, I would!

SUCH A GREAT READ!!
Wow!! Such a fantastic book! I am 63 and stepping into a new season of life...this book with its many stories was so encouraging. I have ministered to many women over the years and I now have begun to use this book as a "tool" to help me encourage other women in this season of life. I have bought it twice and have given both copies to others. It's filled with authentic, vulnerable, and courageous stories!. THANK YOU! To each author for sharing your lives with us!
