versatile and comfortable
advertised as fitting multiple size pistol mags - so I got it to try with my LCP, SR9c and 1911 mags. I have wanted a horizontal mag carrier for a while- being a fat guy means that vertical carries can be a little uncomfortable. Got this in and found that it can indeed be put on a belt with one hand - in fact one handed is the easiest technique. I put my LCP mag in first, fit fine - clearly the LCP mag would not fit all way to the end of the carrier. LCP mag is easy to get out and doesn't flop around inside the carrier. Next I put a fully loaded 1911 mag in - fits perfect, very comfortable on the belt. Next I put in the 17rnd SR9c mag - fits tight, and the end flap barely close but it does fit. Swapped out the 17 rnd mag for the 10rnd mag and it fits perfect - a little tight and perfect length. Again, very comfortable to carry - never even know it's there. This carrier is very well made. Good solid stitching in what seems to be good quality leather. The velcro closures are heavy duty and well stitched onto the leather. I am wearing this on an 1 1/2 " Bladetech Looper gun belt and it works well together - the belt is very stiff yet comfortable to wear, especially with a holster and mag carrier. The mag carrier can be adjusted on the belt to hold as tight as you wish. Again, very easy to put on or take off without taking your belt off.I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a horizontal mag carrier. Concealment and comfort are the factors I was looking for and this product delivered it.

Fits my 1911 mags and more!
I got this for my Kahr P45 6-round magazine. It works like a champ. Also tried my 1911 8-round mags, no problem. Now a 10-round single stack 1911 mag? No dice, it will not fit at all. That's fine, it works with single stack and I am pretty sure it will work with others that I have. of course if the mag is too big you need a different model.I got this solely for being horizontal but I have learned much more:1. Vertical mags are fine but I'm not built like a chimney and anything sticking up above my belt line is going to have to fight for space if you know what I mean. That means I'm going to get poked and grabbing a mag will be that much slower.2. It looks like a cell phone case or a pipe case. And why not! Why do concealable mag cases need to look like something the Adam-12 folks wear on duty? I'm not subject to inspection so I don't need patent leather and all the shiny stuff. Just hold my mag please. Now if the case gets exposed it won't shout that there is a firearm nearby.3. The entire mag is covered! Cool! That means less chance of something snagging it, bumping it, spilling on it, or soiling it. Also less a chance that it can fall out yet I can still grab and rip at better speeds than a vertical mag holder.4. Yay for Velcro! I had a really cool mag case but it would not fit on my favorite belt. Then what's the point? A 2" belt may be 2.01" and a 2" mag slide may be 1.99". Either way there is no flexibility there. The Velcro lets me adjust the tightness and width accordingly.5. Putting this on after already having your belt on is easy. You slide the leather up under your belt, then roll the mag upwards and then attach the Velcro from the top. Very easy. You are not fidgeting with small pieces of material in a tight space at an odd angle. You can even harness this to yourself one handed. And I suppose if you want this on your other side (I wear it on my left) then install it upside down with the leather going down behind your belt and not up. You can also remove your belt and have the case drop to the floor (or catch it) rather than fighting with it before you can pull the belt any further.6. Love the material. I had debated getting something in nylon or something ripstop, but being at waist level it may compete with me for the amount of food that it can attract. When I remove it at the end of the day it is as clean as when I put it on. One less thing to clean.7. The end cover piece...well you can pull it right and use all the Velcro and your mag is snug (assuming it fits in the first place). Or you can connect the Velcro right on the very end. While the mag may slide around a little it will not fall out or make any noise, but there is that much less Velcro to yoink when you remove your mag. Think of it like adjustable tension.8. No drama. I searched online for a mag case, found this one, then googled others and found ones that appear the same for 2x the cost. Even here on Amazon here are different models and the tiny images they show you do not tell you really what the differences are. Well fret not and just get one. Unless you are replacing the exact same model for some reason, they all do the same thing. They hold the mag horizontally. Let's not make that an expensive drama. You're not missing anything.Well there is probably more but if you have read all this and are still undecided then I have to wonder how long it took you to pick your socks out of your drawer this morning. If it takes you longer to choose socks than it does to read this, then by all means write to the manufacturer for a spec sheet. The rest of us, well just click buy and there you go. I'd check the manufacturer site to make sure it worked with my mags if I had something unusual. But a 1911 is easy and that's a pretty well known standard size.So there you go, no more guess work, and a deal at twice the price!

2 straps can make it a keeper
This seemed to be what a lot of folks used for edc. The advertisement pics have been poor in terms of letting you the connection method of mounting however.I actually liked the strap because it allowed you to put on and take off without undoing your belt. Unfortunately the strap is wide on the back and then tapers going to the front. This does two things for me one it allows the holder to rock on the ends. Second I can't mount my knife behind my mag holder because the strap runs down the center. My goal was to have one spot to reach for my other items and not have one in front of the other on my belt.It just barely fit my 16 round my mod2 SC magazine. This wasn't actually bad though because it made less velcro to have to disconnect and it was actually a very snug fit.I ended up returning because I don't like that it can rock on my belt or that I have to put my mag in front of my knife or vice versa. As much as people want to look like Batman or policeman with a duty belt, I don't. I don't want a whole bunch of stuff hanging off my waist like a Christmas tree.I only recently started carrying a second mag because of something I heard about somebody's mag floor plate coming off and then not having bullets in a dire situation. Ive personally had a wrong size pistol holster, release my mag once i sat down and when I stood up, my magazine just fell out on the ground. You want to carry comfortable and you want to carry discreet. Very nice designed mag holder, but didn't check all the boxes for how I want to carry.
