Bought for back up
We have the power watch dog 50 amp with EPO. Bought this as a spare Incase we ever have a surge/spike while plugged in. To be able to swap out and retain the protection. Unlike other brands, if the surge protector trips, you have to send back to the manufacturer. This one you can swap yourself where you are.

Don't get caught without a replacement for your surge protector we bought this just in case we needed one while we were camping I highly recommend purchasing a backup for your surge protector.

This is the part to replace the guts of my 50 amp Power Watchdog if it ever gets fried by a power surge while in use rather than my RV. Hope I never get/have to use it but, glad I have it just in case.

Effective
After the first module seemed to be ised up rather quickly after one season i called cust service and they sent another to replace. Easy install i always keep a backup module in the camper now though.
