Solar Camping Lantern

This is the second lantern I've purchased because the first one was so good. I used the first one for a couple of years now with good results. Using it every evening to move around the home. You can regulate the brightness by lifting the handle up or down to regulate the light. A handle that allows for hanging or for great portability. Handy size to sit on a windowsill to solar charge. All in all I got a second one.

So far so good. Very versatile and practical. Has a front touch, lamp light with solar panel (not tested) and wind up power feature. Light also has charge point. Only down side is that it seems very light and not as sturdy as i would have liked but time will tell.

We love this lamp! It is bright, and easy to use, quite light weight so great for packing and chucking in bags when camping. We originally got it when traveling to Cuba as there is a electricity crisis over there and it is bright enough to light a room, it has a decent battery life, we never ran out, but we tend to charge every other day. We have since bought it again several times as we have given them as gifts to friends and family.

The lantern works well and is bright enough to move around the house during a blackout or rummaging through the garden shed at night, but would not be your main lantern on a camping trip, it isn't bright enough. The solar panels are really only good enough to maintain the battery, it would take a year or more of sunny days to fully charge the battery - possibly longer. The hand crank is enough to get the lantern on, but you'll have to crank for half an hour to get ten minutes worth of light, so it's only good for emergency use - but I think that's the intention anyway. Generally you'll want to power the battery via USB. The torch is weak, but functional. In the write-up, it says you can dim the lantern by lowering the lights into the case, but this doesn't turn off any off the LEDs so it still consumes more power - but as it says, it will dim the light the lantern offers. The above comments are all negative, but the lantern is well made, collapses into a small package that is easy to find a spot for, and good value for the price range it sits in. If you want a camping lantern, you'll want something else, but if you want a lantern for emergencies, blackouts, and rummaging around in the garden shed at night, this is a good option. It is also useful as a battery for giving small charges to other devices such as a phone.

well worth the purchase I've purchased two before and they really do what they say as well as peace of mind in case of power cuts and batteries running out I am so pleased with the hand crank wind up and solar. brilliant product!

Pleased with the item

Bought this as an alternative to switching lights on after dark to preserve energy.(using solar) Put it in window during day and its perfectly fine to see around the house at night. Can adjust brightness by how far you pull up the top. Has good charge time (as advised though, it works best if you fully charge it first using the USB to electric power-after that, solar has worked great. Love the fact it has a wind up option if needed (of course there is an option to charge through USB/electric but I've not used that (apart from testing) as im interested in solar (cheaper and better for the planet) Previously had a cheaper one using solar power and no where near as good. I've since ordered 2 more of these for my household, and my parents also now have 2 and loving them. Only downside now (as someone else also said) they have gone up quite a bit in price which has put me "on hold" to buy more, as I'd wish Review add on (as item saved, waiting to buy more) Price gone up even further. Won't pay that much now. Gone up over £10 pounds each recently UPDATE 2 out of the 4 i bought have now stopped charging using solar power

Why did you choose this product over others?: This got good reviews. It’s brilliant is compact but the light is very powerful. My son took it camping for 5 days. The solar panel charged it during the day and he used it as a light and charged his phone as well. It also has a flashlight on the bottom. Excellent value am going to buy more.

Oldukça kullanışlı açma kapama çok rahat uzun sürede şarjı yetiyor memnun kaldım

Advertised as "lights" and two lamps shown in picture. Only one lamp was actually delivered. Very misleading.

Rekommenderas!
