Very Fine People

This book wasn't characteristic of my normal reading material and I was immediately engaged and was repeatedly drawn back to it, finishing it within the week. Scott uses his quick wit and dark humor to provide a startling glimpse into the painful side of America - he holds back no punches. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone reading this review, and have already recommended it to friends and family. Very much looking forward to any new books coming from Scott Gannis in the future!

This is an emotional must read by someone we will no doubt be hearing again, from in the near future. I highly recommend. Scott Gannis is a wordsmith.

I think this is the funniest book I've ever read. I read Chapter 10 in one sitting; I simply (and/or complexly) could not put the gosh dang book down! Powerful. Effective. Hilarious. Well done! I'll be looking out for more books by this former forklift operator.

This is a wonderful novel and brings awareness to lives that aren’t written about enough. Sharp prose and meticulous character details make the story come to life. I especially enjoyed the descriptions of Boris. Gannis’s debut novel is not to be missed and he is a writer to watch!
