Q: Does this work with the Real MINI RITE R?

I have MINIRITE R and it works for me. Mine in in series with a Sonos soundbox, ie TV to Oticon adapter to Sonos. You get another tab on your mobile oticon app to control the adapter volume. The volume you set using the app has no effect on the TV or Sonos bar.

Q: How is the volume increased as I am unable to make the tv sound loud enough.

Hi, you’ll need the Oticon app on your smart phone for starters. Make sure the Toslink cable (Optical Audio cable you got with the adapter) is plugged in and the other end is in the smart tv socket on back of tv. Pair the aids to the adapter as described and you have a blue and a green light on the front of the adapter. Open the Oticon app Home page, click on Hearing Aids and check Left and Right has a Green tick against them., click on Remote Control at the bottom and tap the TV icon next to P1. This should now show 2 sliders which are your volume controls and away you go. Hope this helps. You may need to alter settings in your Settings on smart phone under Hearing Devices or similar as well.
