Can these be laid out in the spring for the entire season til winter without any damage to them from weather if rain puddles in them?

I've had it for only 2 years, but it is sturdy, rained on at least once a week (on avg) and there is no damage to the wood, the color is still bright. I've rolled it up and stored it, used a hose on it in spring to remove dirt and laid it out -- no weak spots or signs of wear.

The question on shortening this has not been properly answered. Folding it over can be a falling hazard so not practical.

You can shorten it by removing the desired amount of wooden slats. Just secure the rubber with screws. You could also use metal "U" ground pegs to secure.

Can these protect my artificial turf from melting/are these very heat tolerant?

I live in Wisconsin so I do not know much about turf but they have held up extremely well in for me. I do roll it up in the winter however and put back out in the spring

Could I put this on cement patio and won't be slippery?

I really don't know. I gave it as a gift the she is pleased with it. It is wood, so it may slip if on cement. The person I gave it to uses it on a shredded rubber walkway.

More & more cheaply made

I have been using these for years. A few years ago they would last for at least a year, maybe longer. About a year ago, both these and the Plow & Hearth ones began to break after a couple seasons. This last batch was broken upon arrival in so many places I couldn’t even get it back in the ripped box to return it. Others have noted the poor connector material whatever it is, not sturdy. What a waste of time, money and wood.

Very nice

Cute and easy. Rolled them over some mulch so I don't get my feet dirty going to the pool.It's been almost a year and they have held up nicely. I went ahead and put a wood seal on them because our summers can be brutal.

Must replace the cord with something sturdier to last.

After 2 years use, the cord that holds the slats together started to degrade and break. I rethreaded all the slats on 3/32" vinyl coated cable. If you are buying this walkway intending to use it outside for the long term, be ready to replace the cord with something sturdier. The slats were still in good shape after 2 years, so it was worth it to me to replace the silly cord that it comes with. Took a couple of hours once I located the right cabling at the home improvement store.

Poor quality

I ordered 3 pathways to line a walkway. Their very heavy, which I thought was a good thing.They all shipped individually (probably due to the weight), two pieces never got to me, they were returned in transit due to the boxes falling apart. A credit was given without any discussion.I kept the only piece that came to me, they're very pretty and nice solid pieces of wood. After just a few weeks of use, the cording that runs through the center (holding all the individual pieces of wood together) began to break. It's as if the cord was dry rot. They have only a 30 day return policy so time has run out.
