As well they should be for the price. I got the red and white 10 foot pair to use to connect to an FM/SW portable reception antenna I’m making out of Farraday fabric. I’d intended to make these leads with what I had on hand but (damnation!) I didn’t have anything on hand 😒. So rather than wait until my next trip into town (I’m retired and live rural) I found these. In all honesty I probably couldn’t have found wire and clips this good without doing a lot of driving around, wasting fuel, and wasting a bunch of time. Maybe not even then 🤔.These leads are VERY flexible. I’m guessing the insulation is silicone. The alligator clips are the best I’ve seen. Think of the high end leads that come with Fluke meters. This is good, high quality stuff! Probably (definitely) overkill for what I’m using them for 😶. I expect them to outlive me 😵!Are they pricey? Yep. I’m very satisfied. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 👍👍

Works great for rear electric parking brake service(brake pad replacement)on automobiles with use of 9 volt battery sometimes I have to use smaller alligator clips with cables

Surprisingly decent. I thought these cables would be cheaply made with very low copper content or aluminum wires coated in copper or even worse for Chinese made.. iron.. I can say the set i received is not magnetic! And my vloss is very minimal.

Received yesterday, checked continuity with my meter and pulled on the connections. Everything was fine. Tested the alligator clips and they were very easy to open. I read that some people were having difficulty with these clips. I think they are fine. I’m using them right now to charge my generator battery. Everything is great. Nice quality and good value for the money.

Why I mentioned fuel injected engines is because if you're as old as me - you'll remember the old carburated engines and how you tried to start them. They would crank and crank and crank before they'd finally fire up. Well with fuel injected engines these days you may notice they don't do that. Once you turn the key they almost instantly start up. So in my opinion the current draw to start an averaged sized engine is less and for a shorter duration than older carburated engines. I have used these to start an older F.I. car using my 12V in my lawn tractor. The draw on the tractor battery is very short (time wise) & the car starts right up. NOTE that these are NOT heavy duty jumpers - far from it, but they do work on lighter and smaller vehicles from my experience. The heat generated from trying to start a larger sized engine either F.I. or carb, could possibly cause a fire and/or melt the cable, so IMO I would use these cafefully.

14 gauge alligator clips work great would recommend good price good quality easy to use
