I finally found a optics mounting plate that fit the Taurus G2C. Went through a few other plates that were supposed to fit to no avail. Finally found this one that fits, specifically when you remove the original sight that is held on by one screw. NOTE: I DID have to slightly file the end of the plate for it to fit into the slot. This was probably due to the powdercoating and not the maufacturing. The filing did not damage anything but becaude I was a little heavyhanded, I needed to use a black marker to lightly touch up one of the edges. I would buy again and hopefully, they have one to fit my Canik Mete MC9 as well.

Did not fit. NOT made for Taurus gun model that I have as mentioned in advertisement. Could not install.

The product description clearly stated that it would fit a Taurus TX-22. It does not without modification, and that modification is something that is absolutely ridiculous to expect even a seasoned gunsmith to perform effectively without compromising both the fit and finish of the product. The adapter plate is designed to be installed by removing the rear sight from the gun and sliding the insert on the adapter plate into the rear sight cut on the slide. This optic plate is made with a 90 degree insert. The Taurus TX-22 has a trapezoid rear sight cut, so it will not fit. The maker of this adapter plate recommends in this case for the user to file the 90-degree angle down to 45 degrees so it will fit. This part is machined from aircraft grade aluminum with hard anodizing finish. The part to be filed down from 90 degrees to 45 degrees is so small that it cannot even be clearly viewed with the naked eye. To expect someone to "just" file it down with any acceptable accuracy is ludicrous. You can't possibly maintain a perfectly straight line on both sides of the insert given the tiny dimensions being dealt with. Anything other than perfectly aligned edges where the adapter insert meets the rear sight cutout will cause either a misaligned optic, or one that wobbles. No matter how tight you make the single screw that holds the plate in place, the adapter plate and the optic are not stable and will not hold zero. One other issue, it is impossible with a simple file to avoid totally demolishing the anodized finish on the back of the plate. It looks horrible. If this company wishes to provide an adapter plate for guns with a trapezoidal rear slide insert, they should make one that fits. The user should not be expected to perform tasks that belong in a semiconductor factory. I have attempted to show what fine detail they expect you to accomplish with a file on such a small object. This may be acceptable to some, but certainly not to me. The other photos show the mangled rear of the adapter plate caused by trying to file the square side down to a 45 degree angle. Really looks bad! I have purchased similar items from EWG and Galloway Precision that work perfectly. I only chose this one because of delivery time. Big Mistake! It is going back. Amazon needs to give a zero star review option.

I wish I could fit iron sights on the gun as well to have a backup. All and all a good product.

Mounted perfect

Having only experienced this single mount plate, I can't say for certain if this is a common problem on all units; but my sight plate was actually loose in the stock, Taurus G2C dovetail. So loose that a sliver of light could be seen between the plate and dovetail cutout on both sides. I tried alleviating the issue with high strength epoxy, but even that was enough to stabilize the plate for more than a couple mags. The plate loosed back up and wouldn't stay tight. Also, the small center hole was almost too large for the small stock screw to even hold pressure on the plate. Pay once, cry once... lesson learned.

Totally my fault. Dovetail is correct for Taurus G3 original sight cut.

Product looked good and was machined well. The description states not compatible with the TX22C (compact) but the TX22 T.O.R.O. is not referenced but is pretty much the same.
