Making Paneer was never that easy
I bought this about few weeks ago and think it's the best purchase made, it makes my job so easy of making homemade Paneer ( Indian Cottage Cheese ) I like homemade panner and I make it quiet often ..Earlier making at home was a task specially making in the rectangular shape ... Price is Great ... Very Strudy... And easy to use ...Comes with a muslin cloth along with the plastic mold base and a plastic mold lid goes in and you put a heavy object on top to press it down to make that perfect Rectangular shape ... And beside making paneer it's a perfect Tofu press ... It does it's job and save tons of Paper Towel .. This Tofu press worth every penny . Happy Shopping :)

Great tofu press for the price! I recommend it!
I was surprised how sturdy this press is. It alsobcame with the butter muslin to strain the tofu. Easy to use, I followed a recipe on YouTube from “America’s Test Kitchen”. I have used the press 2x. I also used an instant pot to make the soy milk for the recipe. Easier clean up. I placed the press in a metal bowl that tapered at the bottom slightly, so the press could fit inside without touching the bottom, so the liquid could collect in the bottom of the bowl. After folding the muslin over the tofu, I put the press part on top with large spaghetti sauce jar or a large can of beans. Works great, I definitely recommend it.

Wonderfull Tool!!!
If you want to make Tofu and don't know which tool to use to make the tofu shape... this is the pefect tool for you! The cheese cloth is a nice material, it doesn't rip. I've had to squeeze the soy milk into the cheese cloth, and everytime I feel it's going to rip- it doesn't! It keeps the okara (the soy milk pulp from the soy beans when making the the tofu) inside the cloth. The mold is wonderful because it makes your tofu look like you bought it from the store. Then once your finished its so easy to rinse the mold and wash the cheese cloth with some warm water and hang to dry.

Updated review
Haha! When will I start looking at the measurements? Small but works. I needed one bigger and will look for another. I left my bigger one in another country when I moved. I usually make larger blocks to avoid so much time spent on making tofu. But if you eat it only occasionally this one works well. UPDATE! just to small for me! So, I bought Komax Biokips Fridge Storage Containers with Dripping Tray. I drilled 3 rows of 3/16 inch holes down the side near botton. Keep dripping tray in bottom and cover with cheeseclothe. Fill with tofu curds snd whey. Fold over cheeseclothe over curds and put second tripping tray on top. Place your weights on top. I use yeti one quart water bottles. Run dripping cold water on tofu maker while the weight expresses the moisture in the tofu. Place finished tofu in second Komax Biokips Fridge Storage Container and cover with cold water. Good amount of tofu. Works great!

So much better than the top rated tofu press!
This tofu press is amazing! And it works how you want it to work, does what you expect it to do, and it does so for the right price. I looked at the top rated press on amazon.... It is brain dead stupid. It's just two plastic slabs with wing nuts and bolts attached.... so you can obliterate your tofu into nothingness and squeeze all its inner water all over your counter and floor.... for 5 TIMES MORE MONEY. Sorry, it just really hurt my brain looking at it. Anyhow, this press is cheap, works great, and makes sense. Hooray.

Simple. Does the job
I make tofu quite frequently, so I needed a tofu press that was easy to use and clean. That's what this press is. You can't get any simpler when it comes to use. The price was affordable, and cleanup amounts to rinsing everything in cold, running water. Since the soybean curd is water-based, there's nothing on the cloth or press, to wash off. Just rinse. Few things in life are this easy to use and maintain. You could also throw the press (not the cloth) into the dishwasher if you want to sanitize it, but that's not really necessary. Plus, you don't need to buy one of those Japanese, wooden presses, which are expensive. The wood can also harbor bacteria, since it's porous. Wood also deteriorates. Plastic doesn't. If you make tofu, this is a no-brainer.

Works okay but a more expensive screw down press is a much better option.

I love this tofu-making mold so much that I bought two more. For less than $15 CAD, this mold is a great buy. The plastic mold is sturdy and perfect for either making tofu or pressing excess water out of store-bought tofu. The cloth that it comes with comes in handy for both straining your homemade soy milk and for lining the mold when making tofu. I wash it first before using for the first time. While I'm not sure if the manufacturer says it's ok, I've been washing it in the dishwasher when I'm too lazy to wash by hand. And it holds up. One of my molds has a little chip on the side which does not affect the function. To be honest, I'm not sure if it came that way or I broke it with my clumsy handling. I only noticed it when I reorganized my cupboards today. Anyways, it's a great buy and I'll probably buy again.

Works well to remove the excess water from the tofu. Inexpensive. Arrived quickly.

Feels very cheap in quality. A little pressure feels like it's going to snap or crack, as it's made from plastic.
