Surprisingly helpful
I didn't have high hopes for pain relief of my hallux rigidus. It's gotten much worse over the years. I have bought , and wasted money, on many types of shoes. I am an active hiker, dog walker and nurse. My feet have taken a beating. My recent podiatrist recommended I try this product. I am soooo glad I did. I ordered a larger shoe size, put in the carbon fiber insole and my regular orthotic and off I went. I can walk > 3 miles, or use the treadmill at a brisk pace, and on 7.0 incline, with ZERO great toe pain. I haven't had to use my Sombra pain relief cream on my foot after exericse and not awake at night from the joint throbbing. I have been using it over a month. I can't yet speak to the longevity of the product. I'm hoping that given the price, it lasts 6 months. It is very rigid and would be uncomfortable without a custom or regular shoe insole. May not fit in a snug shoe that just fits, would like need 1/2 size up and a wider toe box (which I get anyway). My review is NOT paid for and I didn't receive any freebie for reviewing this product. I am just so pleased to have such decrease in pain and increase in my level of activity because of this, I wanted to share.

Great Insole!!!
My husband said this insole really helps his foot condition. He came back and ordered a second one.

Takes getting used to, but helps pain
This item certainly takes some adjusting to. I've worn it for a couple days now and I'm still adjusting. It is very rigid, but it does fit my size 7 women's feet, and it has helped my pain from hallux rigidus (osteoarthritis in big toe, my left). I think it depends what shoe you wear it in. I see it working very well in a tennis shoe/closed-toed shoe, but not so much in a flip flop/sandal. Currently I'm wearing it in a birkenstock-style sandal, and at first I was annoyed because it seemed to slip around a bit. But once I locked it under my foot in the right position, it was OK. This item is quite rigid, and at first it can be uncomfortable. But after walking around for a couple days, I do notice it helps my arthritic toe to bend and move less. This helps me feel less pain! It is such a relief! And that was the main reason for getting this. So, overall, a success!

Very useful to make shoes stable for arthritis
I bought these to stabilize my feet in Converse tennis shoes due to my osteoarthritis. I have custom insoles but they are way too big for small sneakers. I pulled up the natural insole of the shoe and slipped the carbon insole underneath, then replaced the insole. In a Converse, there’s enough glue that it seals right up and holds the carbon insole in place. It’s not too easy to switch the carbon insole to other shoes because of the glue under the natural Converse insole. The carbon insole prevents the knuckle of my big toe from bending while I walk. They are comfortable and easy to use. Good quality material. They are true to size, possibly a little on the small side.

Does not fit well inside shoes
Great idea but almost no shoe is so flat inside for this to stay flush -- It gaps and bridges making things much worse for my fracture

2nd time trying for right size and still not quite right
I originally ordered what they said would fit a Men's 9.5 (maybe that was EU, not US) and it was far too short, so I returned it. Then I went by length of the insole of the shoe I wanted to put it in, which led me to order the supposedly 10.71 inch version. But when I measure it, it is closer to 10.45 inches, so about 1/4 inch shorter than advertised. However, that would also mean the next size up (11.22) may be too long. But will it really be 1/4 inch shorter too or even shorter still or even longer? If its closer to the stated 11.22 (or even the 1/4 shorter), then it will be too long! So the closest may be what I ordered even though it does not measure to what they say its length is. Then there is how it works - it is completely flat while most athletic shoes have some curve of the toe upward. Also, I am getting this for Hallux Rigidus issues and the last alternative is big toe fusion, which they fix with a slight upturn of the toe, so why wouldn't this have that same slight upturn? The result is a lot of pressure on the ball of the foot and resultant soreness. There is a bit of flex in the insert based on your body weight, but I still think it is a less than ideal design. What I have been using is a blue contoured insert, but I can't find a way to order them anymore. They had an arch contour and a slight toe upturn contour. The one big plus of this insert is that it is thinner and while initially noticeable as different, you quickly stop noticing it, so you really only need one (assuming you only have issues with one foot's big toe). My old inserts were thicker and more so because of the contour, really felt different, so I ordered a left side to even out both shoes. Hope you have better luck than I have with this!

Helpful Insoles
I have arthritis in my feet. My podiatrist basically, prescribed these insoles to help keep my feet from bending too much and irritating the joints while I'm out walking. They are made from a carbon fiber, and are somewhat stiff, which is what I needed. They do take some getting used to, but it only took me a couple of days to get used to them. They fit easily into my shoes under the regular insole and are true to size. I've had mine for about two months now. I put in about 2-3 miles of walking per day on them and so far, they are still holding up really well. My only complaint is they are a little bit spendy, but if I had to get actual prescription insoles, it would be far more. They come in a single pack, so if you need two, one for each foot, you will need to buy two packages.

Die Einlage ist gut. Ich habe 35 € incl. Porto bezahlt. 5 Tage später also heute, soll die 2. Einlage knapp 60 € kosten.! Was soll das?? 60% Einfuhrzoll?? 🤷♂️🤷♂️ Gerade noch festgestellt: Sorry. 67,10 €. Also fast 100% mehr. Echt übel.

The first issue is that the sole of my shoe is not flat and putting a flat plate inside means there is a gap underneath the middle, with my smaller toes much lower in the shoe the the big toe. Which exactly the opposite of what is needed. This also means the plate flattens down and back up when stepping causing excess rubbing. The other issue is that you would need a really secure hold round your ankle to stop the heal lifting out of the shoe, due to the rigidity of the plate

Also besser vorher genau überlegen, bevor man bestellt.
