Why even have handles?
We needed to replace our Target baskets because the handles broke off after a year. In less than a month, the handles fell off of these too. Stop putting handles on things. Just have the basket as one single mold. The size of these baskets is nice. They fit enough clothes for a large load and small enough in width to carry them downstairs and through baby gates.
