Love this German Bread Knife
A bread knife is serrated in order for it to cut through bread without flattening it. I had my original Zwilling bread knife sharpened and the guy sharpened all the serration away so I bought a replacement. My previous one lasted 10 years before its accident. I've had this new one for a while and it works like a charm.

Worth the extra money!
Being relegated to the house over the summer (like so many others have been), we took up the hobby of bread making. We were using a 5” serrated utility knife to cut our creations, but the blade wasn’t long enough to make it through in a single batch. We bought the Henckels 8” Professional S bread knife to match our existing cutlery, and couldn’t be more happy. Though a bit pricy compared to some others on the market, the build quality and feel in the hand makes the extra expense worth it. I’m confident this knife will last us decades, just as the rest of our set has!

Another great Henckels knife.
What can you really say about Henckels knives? Only that they are the best on the market. As such you'd expect to see a 5star rating, however the reason it only attained 4 from me is because of one minor incident.The first time I used the knife it was on a very hard crusted loaf from Panera that decided to not have them slice because i wanted to play with the new addition to my collection. The Henckles made quick work of the loaf as expected. When I was washing the knife I noticed that the fine edge on the serrations had bent over to the non-scalloped side of the blade. Nothing visiable, but you could feel them when running your fingers over them. A swipe or two with the honing steel from the back and a few twisting pulls in each scallop from the other side trued the folds straight again.Honestly its a little my fault too for taking it straight to this "rock" before breaking it in a little first. Not that Henckels need to be broken in, but you know what I mean.

Works great for sourdough and other breads. Very sharp knife.

Great Knives that will last many years
I bought these knives for my wife as a Christmas present and she absolutely loves them. She wonders how she got along without them before now. Very sharp and they stay sharp. Be careful, these are not knives for children to use in my opinion just because they are so sharp. Great Knives.

Quality is slipping!
I have been using Henckels and Zwilling knives all my life, for over 60 years. There were never any major issues with the German quality products.This knife was delivered with a horrendous bur on the cutting edge, the full length.Very disappointing.Check these products upon receipt for defects!!
