Acting One

There was a mark on one of the pages, which was odd because it arrived in plastic packaging. The book was good though. I used it for a college class and learned some great techniques and tactics for acting.

Your probably getting this for school but if not it’s a fabulous book to have in your acting arsenal. Love it love it love it!

I used this book in my intro to acting class during my undergraduate degree. I appreciated the experiential exercises as a method of instruction here. I believe if a picture is worth a thousand words, how much more is a mental picture of a scenario worth? I would say many, many more. The very beginning of the book with its technique on focusing I found to be incredibly helpful not only for the acting class but also for the couple of speech classes I had afterward.

This is a great book for any acting teacher or student. Lots of great things to think about

This book is really helpful. I bought a cheaper used copy, so of course it was a bit beat up. But the content in this is rally helping for aspiring actors. I use this all the time in my theatre class, but if you're just curious about acting then this is the book!

Text is a good one but the price for what you get is ridiculous. This is just a thin little paperback book for a non-technical subject. However, Amazon still saved us almost 50% compared to the college bookstore.

This is a great book as far as it goes. The other book that includes book 2 is far more comprehensive. Unfortunately for me, the price of that book is beyond my budget and it seems to be impossible to get book 2 by itself. So book 1 is extremely useful and full of great information. I just wish I could have gotten 1/2.
