It is great to have it for my teaching classes. Very well designed and convenient to use.

Not worth the money. Cheap product and lacks many parts of brain

I purchased this model as a visual aid for a workshop I'm writing on Dementia. I wanted the inside and outside views that a half-model provides, and I did not want anything that was overly detailed. This model fits those requirements. The lobes and their general functions are labeled on the card. I agree with other consumers that the card is not visible when on its stand, but I would use it separately, so no matter. Two things do not work for me, however. One is the fact that the hippocampus is not identified. This is where Alzheimer's disease begins, and that is crucial to my workshop (and, since this is such a huge disease, I think it should be labeled on every brain model made). The other issue I have is that the pole wobbles terribly in its base, swinging the model around and side to side. I'll have to find some putty to secure it for class.

I recently purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend completing his PhD in Biostatistics. The model was great! However, we were quite frustrated that the stand included did not fit well into the base. Therefore, the model could not stand upright securely as pictured in the advertised photo. It was very flimsy, so now he is unable to mount it. The attached photo shows how he has to display the model on his desk in consequence of the flimsy stand. How embarrassing!

Yep, quite happy with it, picutres and description are accurate; just what I needed in working with clients.

I purchased this for my wife who is studying anatomy. She will some day be treating clients who are dealing with depression and intends to use the model to help them understand how the brain works. It's well made and arrived just in time for Christmas 2013!
