Where is the sd card slot on ip4m-1041b ? i cannot find it ?

on the bottom of the camera. with camera unplugged rotate the camera eye down or set the camera to private setting, the camera will rotate down exposing the slot.

How much data does this use a month? Does it run off cell phone long distance or wifi?

The data is transmitted only via WiFi from the camera when you tell it to do so. The camera setup provides for notifications as well, either by email or cell phone notifications via the app. There is local SD card storage so you can minimize data being sent to the Amcrest Cloud. I use SD storage as it's free. I do not recommend this camera to novices as the setup requires an experienced person to get it done without spending hours on it.
